A few days ago I got a McCain flyer that attacked Romney on, of all things, illegal immigration! It claimed that Romney was trying to "smear" the "straight talking" John McCain on the issue.

Now, Mitt isn't exactly Pat Buchanan on immigration, but just a few short months ago McCain was gleefully pushing for amnesty for tens of millions of illegals. I give McCain some credit; he does have brass gonads to pull a stunt like this.

Yeah, I don’t quite see why all these comments appear on a McCain involved thread without seeing the words Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Maybe the folks here didn’t really care that much about who led it.

And I'm pointing out that Romney knee-jerkingly attacked McCain on an issue he's no better on.

So what's the problem?

Hey, they're on the thread now. Thanks for bringing it up!

Now, what does that have to do with the issue at hand, again?

I’ve been showing several of my skeptical Republican friends links to these various attacks on Romney. They agree, they will DEFINITELY be voting for him now as they are obviously desperation tactics to weaken the strongest Republican in the race.

I've been showing hundreds--no, thousands!--of my skeptical Conservative friends links to these various personal attacks by Willard's fans. They agreed by blood oath that they will ABSOLUTELY SUPER-DUPER-CERTAINLY be voting against Willard now as the insults spewed by various Willardians are DEFINITELY desperation tactics to obscure the weakness of the lying liberal in the race.

“Of course a ‘fee’ isn’t a tax.”

It isn’t. A fee places the cost of a service on the person using it, instead of forcing everyone else to pay for it.

Really? Well, unfortunetly for you, there is no voting “against” anyone in the primaries. You actually have to vote FOR somebody.

I know, it sucks for Hillary supporters that it works that way. It sucks for them a whole lot the Republicans are winning in 2008. President Romney is going to be #44.

Democrats are idiots btw. Just thought you should know.

No, Romney should be ashamed. He’s the one who’s been blasting Republicans left and right ever since he began slipping in Iowa. And look now that he’s slipping in NH, isn’t it a surprise he’s going after McCain?

Pure desperation. Mitt Romney once again attacking a candidate on an issue he's no better on. There's a pattern here. Huckabee in Iowa, Giuliani on sanctuary city, and now McCain in New Hampshire. Not a surprise.

The McCain List.
Common sense conservatism

I agree with you on this Norm.
While McPain is unpredictable , Romney is a pandering flip-flopping Klinton / Kerry hybrid who can’t be trusted.

>>>>Second, Romney raised fees, not taxes--- there is a difference, however slight, that is not merely trivial

It's not slight its a major difference. Should we blame Reagen for States raising taxes when he cut the Fed tax rate?

This is also what happened with Reagen when he cut taxes many local munincipalities upped fees.

I have seen the list of fees Romney increased and some were local city governments charging more. IOW, Romney didn't up many of the fees the local city council beauracrats did to try to make up for the cuts from the top.

Local government has to answer to the people in ways that the National govt. does not. Anyone ticked about the fees can boot out their city councilman.

The net effect of Romney's tax cuts is umatched by any other Governor (even Ronald Reagen). It is interesting seeing Mitt haters with Mitt Derangement Syndrome try to bash his fiscal policy. (Unless you are a Paulistinian who favors abolishing the FBI, CIA and everthing else, nobody holds a candle to Mitt's fiscal discipline.)

What next from the Mitt haters?

How about bashing Reagen's increased fees...

Romney told a crowd of more than 100 people at an elementary school.

An appropriate venue for the Governor.

I'm sure lunch consisted of half-pint chocolate milks and chicken tenders in cartoon shapes.

The man refused to give his name, and Romney aides surrounded him afterward and accused him of being a Massachusetts Democrat who had challenged Romney about his tax record at another event.

But...but...what about "Ask Mitt Anything!?"
