WATERLOO, Iowa — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism" since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

It is also known that he only places his hand over his heart when he wants during the National Anthem and Also did some drug use in the past. I ask what is next of American values. Revski

Should he be elected, there will be no more American values and I wonder what kind of apology Oprah will concoct then. The values of this country will become like it’s, then, sister countries, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Lebanon to name a few.

As I say in the previous post, I’m amazed that the issue is simply whether Obama used drugs or not, as the Dems are hoping that isn’t a big deal. (That “vice” alone probably includes most of the Dem. party.) It should be framed as to whether he repeatedly and knowingly broke the law. If someone is smart enough and respectful of his country’s laws, then he knows that alone is a reason never to use them. If he isn’t, then he isn’t bright or strong enough to be President. Is this the best our generation can do?

[Barrack Hussein Obama’s record in the Illinois senate:]

- Opposed the Defense of Marriage Act; would work to repeal it in the U.S. Senate; would not vote for any legislation that would restrict the ability of gays and lesbians to marry.
- Opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act four times in Illinois. A similar bill passed the U.S. Senate 98-0. The Born Alive bill would have prohibited a baby from being born alive but left to die according to the mother’s wishes. Obama inexplicably opposed this bill not once, twice, or three times, but four times.
- Obama took almost $90,000 in bundled contributions from the Council for a Livable World. The council is a well-known anti-defense organization.
- Obama puts rigid ideology before what’s best for the people of Illinois, and presumably he would do that as President as well. He has on several occasions made public his opposition to the NAFTA trade agreement and his belief that it must be negotiated. All the while thanks to NAFTA, Illinois exports $1.3 billion in agricultural goods to Canada.
- Obama refused to vote for a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have increased penalties for drug traffickers.
- Obama voted against a bill that would have delivered the death penalty to gang members who murder first responders.
- Finally, just in case you thought it couldn’t get any worse, Obama was the only member of the Illinois State Senate to vote against a bill that prohibited early release for sexual predators.

One must ask, Is Obama simply following this advice from "Ask the Imam?"

Question: Could we sing national anthem and say the plegde of allegience to the secular state while the flag is being raised up?

Answer: As Muslims, our pledge of allegiance is only to Allah and His Rasul (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam). However, as Muslims in a non-Muslim state, we are obliged to follow the laws of the country which are not contrary to Shari’ah.

The allegiance of pledge by singing the national anthem of a secular state which has many un-Islamic laws, for example, legalising homosexuality, lesbianism, pornography, etc. is not permissible.

What else would one expect from an AINO - (American in name only) Won't put his hand over his heart at the playing of the National Anthem. Won't wear a little ole American Flag lapel pin. Won't say the Pledge of Allegiance. That screams all I need to know about his true colors. How any true American could go into a voting booth and press a button by his name is beyond me. I'm waiting for someone to say it has all been a joke. He's a muslim through and through and aims to kill some infidels himself. Not a very funny joke. Not a very funny perspective.
