Some northern blacks are the biggest racists in the country.Some not all.
Surely Northerners aren’t that ignorant! Why - Bill Clinton was a white boy from the South, and he was the first black POTUS! ; )
He should agree with Bill Cosby. That will garner black votes.
It’s interesting to look at how slavery ended in other countries. In Brazil for instance (the last American nation to outlaw slavery) it took until 1888 for the “peculiar institution” to end. First, foreign slave trade was banned in 1850. Then, in 1871, the sons of the slaves were freed. In 1885, slaves aged over 60 years were freed.
And I have a good friend that was born and raised in Mississippi. He is honorable, hard working, polite and has managed to keep his Conservative ideals while surrounded by liberals who haven't an ounce of brains. (Myself excluded ;-D)
Some of the stereotype's voiced here that Northerners are all liberal, baby killers, gun grabber etc. I am here to say that many are not, those I associate with and call my friends are conservative or have mostly conservative views.
;-D and we do have a fair amount mental illness up here.

I think it is fairly spread all around.
Segregation in the North was every bit as mean as that in the South. And it was demoralizing. When Dr. King brought his campaign for integration, he found that northern blacks were totally embittered and unwilling to hear what he said. Racial violence, however, was a common feature in the North, as in Springfield and in Detroit, as blacks began their migration into the north. In 1942, blacks were still unable to get jobs as bus drivers in Philadelphia. Except in their own communites, blacks were unable to get decent jobs.

Bush 1 was no southern President. I don’t believe Ford or Nixon was either. Not sure what to make of your post.
As fans of the show (of which I am one) recall, Pooley was a hustler-con man who used anti-semitism and racism to sell books and tapes to real neo-Nazis/anti-semites/racists who bought up all that crap.
By the end of the story arc, the real bad folks are either dead or in jail, and Thompson's character, Pooley who had never really committed any crimes, is off selling Florida condos to elderly Jewish folks.
