I’m thinking that the analogy sort of forces John Kerry into the Princess Leah role, where she belongs.

I wish Dick Cheney would run for President in 2008.

"A reference to Cheney's terse manner and sometimes gloomy view of world affairs" Ha! Look when they have to define and defend their epithets! They are vapid. Miss Hilton has more substance.

Dick and Lynne Cheney are two of the nicest people in the world and before this administration they were almost universally loved. The only reason that the Left determined to hate him was that he’s so honest, competent and effective. These are traits that are unacceptable to any leftist - most especially in a Republican administration.

No AP, the joke is on you and the rest of the Leftist trash. Hilly thought she was being clever when she attacked the VP as Darth Vader. Only the Pres took the joke and rubbed their face in it.
This is the correct way to respond to the Leftists, mock them.

I am your father (wheeze, wheeze). Obi Wan never told you. Over 10 years on FR now. BTW, got my moniker when I was the payload integration engineer for the first SDI (Star Wars) experiment on the Space Shuttle.

Cheney's wife, Lynne, went even further in her appearance on "The Daily Show" earlier in October. She showed up with a Darth Vader doll.
"It's a special present for you," she told the show's host, Jon Stewart, who has been known to skewer the vice president. "It's an old family heirloom." And THAT my friends is the most effective way to counter stupidity!!
