I believe two British Royal Air Force liaison officers were also executed along with their Polish comrades by the Soviet Thugs.

And the world new what happened. The Nazis, using the uncovered massacre burial ground to great PR effect, demonstrated unequivocally what the Russians had done.
Yet Roosevelt, in his blind arrogance, continued to ignore this and many other atrocities by Stalin until the day he died. Stalin killed 5 times the number of Soviets who died in the war.
Only Churchill kept sounding the alarm.

Yet Roosevelt, in his blind arrogance, continued to ignore this and many other atrocities by Stalin until the day he died. Stalin killed 5 times the number of Soviets who died in the war. Even worse, the Nuremberg Trials carefully document the "responsability" of the Germans in this massacre, thus absolving Stalin. This is why, BTW, you should think twice before citing these records in any serious historical debate. They are an embarassment. I use it as a litmus test for history books. Quoting the Nuremberg records is akin to quoting witchcraft trials minutes.

“The audience, mostly diplomats, human rights activists and artists were moved. “Poles, forgive us,” said Russian human rights activist Siergiej Kovaliov after he saw the film.”
Moscow has long separated Stalin from Lenin, but it’s probably easy to guess that Russians will withdraw their support of Stalinism when more information is broadcasted through such open channels as the cinema. I know Lenin’s character well enough, but humanity’s blurred perception of what’s right vs what’s wrong is clearing little by little. Hillary Clinton will not be pleased. Perhaps the stain of sin will be further removed via the Sacraments of Russia’s Orthodox Church. I just love watching their YouTube clips on exorcisms.

Concerning sounding the alarm on Katyn, Churchill was solidly behind “Rule of Law” and “Democracy”.
Strangely enough, “Rule of Law” is such a big issue for the 2008 US Presidential Elections. Since the Bush family is not running for this event, the argument of an “illegal war” isn’t an issue. The focus will be on the individual (vice party) candidates who have the best record of following the rules that common folk have to obey.
Hillary is the loser in this issue. Even though Obama is more likeable, his support for abortion is both anti-Muslim AND anti-Christian (since he tries to play both). This is similar to John Kerry pretending to be an Honorable Vietnam Vet who patriotically supports his own peer group as well as present soldiers serving America. It’s also similar to how Rudy Guilliani pretends to be a Catholic but is clearly against the Teachings of Christ.
Because God’s Law trumps whatever mankind can establish (and the human heart is innately attracted to Holiness), and because the Democratic party has written abortion into its platform, this means that no Democrat is an option for civil authority as their policy is tyranny and murder of innocence.
Since the “life” of “life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness” (U.S. Declaration of Independence) remains a term unrecognized and undefined, unborn life is as disposable to Democrats and their supporters as Polish soldiers were as disposable to Stalin and his NKVD. This is the loophole that an American husband used to starve his wife to death in Clearview, Florida.

Seems like Sergei Kovalev with his band of the right activists “killed” someone. Accually he did but those russian soldiers he betrayed in Chechnya during Chechen war 1. But I did never hear his sorry.

So do you deny what Stalin and the NKVD did, or do you justify it somehow? Perhaps he justifies his deeds in some way so that he feels no sorrow also.

Neither. But I just wonder what it have to be with Russia? It was actions of the Stalin-Beria. Both are Georgians not Russians. So it is Mihail Sakkashvilli of Georgia should be sorry for this.

Hmmmm... interesting.
Then how would you comment this?
Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko is expected to ask Israel to recognize the genocide of the Ukrainian people in the 1930s by their communist government when he visits here in about two weeks, sources said. Israel is not expected to accede to the request, which has won the support of Jewish community leaders in Ukraine, so as not to damage its relationship with Vladimir Putin's government at a sensitive time.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1918511/posts?page=1
That was also action of Stalin (I'm not sure of Beria's too).
Then why Vladimir Putin's government of today's Russia has any problems with recognizing that genocide?
Why other nations are afraid of doing so - if they are not going to spoil their relations with Russia. Today's Russia.

I din’t say he was correct, just that he at least had a good point to consider. I find RusIvan an interesting commentator since he lived in the US for a time and returned to Russia. I have observed a darkness growing in him over time as Russia is criticized for the policies of Vlad the Inhaler. I do not know if it is propaganda from within Russia or some unfortunate incident that he experienced that turned him away from the values of Freedom in the West. As for Olmert, he is a fool making his living on borrowed time. Sadly he holds the fate of Israel in his hands which he has allowed to be tied behind his back.

“Genoside” is the pointed extermination of only one ethnicity, by the definition.
But in Golodomor there were not the pointed extermination of the one ethnicity (ukranians) since Ukranians in towns were not holodomored. SO it wasn’t no genoside.
There are one tendention in the modern history. It is to call any atrocities ever happened if larger as the genoside or if smaller as terrorism. It comes from the success of Jews to get worldwide especially american subcidies with billions of dollars because of Holocost. So many new politicians want to repeat that profitable endevor.
SO Holocost was the one true genocide where germans pointed one ethnicity(jews) despite of in towns and in country for extermination.
But Golodomor was the atrocity against peasants as the social group no matter Ukranians or Russians. Stalin and commies wanted to rob peasants just to get exportable goods (wheat) to sell it in return to get the means for case of the socialist indusrialization of Soviet Union. The Golodomor happened not only in Ukraine but in Russia and other regions of Soviet Union. Sametime there were the huge building of the industrial enterprises and infrustructure. That industrialization later helpped a great to withstand teh german invasion in 1941-45.
So Golodomor was against social group not no ethnicity. SO it wasn’t no genoside. I think we need to tell thruth everywhere and not succumb to any propaganda even anti-commie propaganda. Satlina dnd his cronies has many crimes on thier hands for that they should be comdemned.
So they no need to be bad mouthed by the propaganda. It gets aurguments to the commies to point into that fact.
