Why is it that Michigan always thinks that to get out of the sewer, they have to dig deeper into the sewer. You would think they would have learned from history.

Meanwhile back in Ohio, the next phase of the 21% reduction in income taxes kicks in January 1, 2008.

When a Candadian Communist is the governor, this is what you get. Take a hard look at Michigan, that’s what the rest of the country will get if the Rats get control of more of the federal government.

"Meanwhile in Texas, we dont have a State income tax and we are running a surplus." That's one of the reasons that illegals don't drain the great State of Texas too much as they do other States. Illegals and us legals pay sales taxes which goes to the State. It's hard to get around not paying your share of sales taxes. Most illegals make their State tax deposit at Home Depot.

I do feel bad for the few conservatives that must still live there because of land, family or work.

Same Michigan that I keep hearing about on radio commercials? Touting how business friendly they are? Rather funny to see what they are busily doing to their working citizens, don’t think I’d move my business there.

Thank you. My wife and I just retired the end of last year. Our intentions were to sell our home and move to Arizona to be near our grandkids (and their parents). Bad timing for the housing market to collapse. We had a buyer, but their financing fell through five days before the closing. We have had several lookers in the seven months since but no buyers yet. I hope we get to Arizona before our newest granddaughter (born 7/26/07) graduates.

Another nail in the Governor’s coffin. Pretty soon, Michigan will be a ghost town.

I’ve had it, we are leaving. The local economy is shot and going downhill. The house is free and clear, we just going to use it as a summer vacation home. Socialists Suck!

The state of Michigan runs radio adds here in Raleigh trying to recruit people to move there and take advantage of 'government sponsored business incentives'.
I really snort and laugh with that one.

The democrats know pretty well that raising taxes will only hurt their Michigan economy even more. But, they're stuck. Higher taxes is what they live by and to lower taxes is to declare that the republicans were right all the time. No democrat will ever do the right thing if it means doing it the republican way.

You are right no state taxes, but pretty hefty property taxes. The only problem with not having a state tax is that the only one’s paying taxes to the state is the homeowners.

Hey, it makes hunting land cheaper to buy! I guess that goes without saying. These idiots don’t understand the snowball effect yet.
