In Honor of Rush Limbaugh's Defeat of Harry Reid (New Holiday!)
10/20/07 | Reaganesque

Posted on 10/19/2007 2:42:41 PM PDT by Reaganesque

At a little before noon today, Harry Reid, leader of the Democrats in the Senate, surrendered to Rush Limbaugh. Given this historic defeat and the weaselly way in which Mr. Reid tried to make it look like he deserved some credit for the money raised for charity, it is hereby resolved (by me) that from this day forth, October 19 will forever be known and celebrated as:

"Weasel Stomping Day!"*

Click here for the official "Weasel Stomping Day" song. (Weird Al, of course)

Ah, yes. A good day. We got to see Pinky Reid make a total fool of himself and prove what a socialist fool he is.

Why, on his website, he provided a link for all you little peasants to send YOUR money in, as HIS contribution to the cause.

Hey Harry, weasel, we can’t wait much longer for you to at least TRY to be a man.

I absolutely agree with you.

On this date, an American citizen fought back against the mighty U.S. Senate, AKA America’s House of Lords.

We must remember this day always because had it been one of our peon selves we’d have lost our job with no benefit of a mighty broadcast audience.

I’ll never forget this day that my country’s congress did the WORST thing any country’s government can do to an individuals. Our founding fathers feared what those senators did more than anything else.

I’ll never forget.

The bidding ends at 1:00p.m. No mater what, Democrats are going to make a ton of money for a charity off their political vitriol. -- ABCNEWS

And the Janus faced MSM/Dems were ALREADY claiming victory over Rush before the final bell!

If there was ever a more convincing show of the disconnect between reality and the reporting...

Hey, we should all publicly call for Reid and cohorts to cough up matching funds - after all, Rush is... Particularly since he is trying to weasel in for some credit for the raising of the funds.... OK Harry - $1,100,100.00 - The challenge is there... You want the credit - Match the bid and Rushes match!

Here’s my question....

WHERE ARE OUR BRAVE REPUBLICAN SENATORS?

why don’t they pass a resolution condemning that letter? Must Rush always carry their water?

$1 million? The final bid was $2,100,100! That’s what Baghdad Harry and his 40 Unpatriotic, Un-troop supporting, Constitution-stomping Cohorts should match!!! You know, if they REALLY supported the troops and not the mission! Ha!

Ooops make that $2,100,100.00!!! Harry, you need to dig deeper - maybe a couple of more property deals and it should be a snap!

MSM is mainstream only in the sense of describing the inmates an insane asylum.

Soros sez: “Dance, my puppets! Dance as you’ve never danced before!!!”

I believe Rush challanged them to match it as he has promised. Each of them to match may be impossible due to the cool 2 mill +, but together they could raise the $$ and donate it. That weasley little speech of dingy’s won’t cut it with me. We need to lay it on in letters to the editors, emails, faxes and phone calls to force them to cough up the bucks.

I think Rush should take Harry up on his offer to get the rest of the dems to sign it.

Then put it up AGAIN.

Really, most folks kinda miss the point( which is what Reid and his vile minions want) if the democrats had been content to come up with a censure petition as the Republicans did about Moveon.org that would have been politically tit for tat and acceptable, what they DID was to try and use the power of the government offices they hold to intimidate a private business into muzzling an employees first amendment rights.
It would serve them right if this ended up at the supreme court!

Every October 19 light up a cigar to honor Rush support of Freedom and liberty over tyranny and defeat of Mr. Reid.

To think that the Senate of the Untied States has nothing better to do than go after a private citizen. They just admit how much power Rush really has. The smoking veto and the Rush letter make for a great week. Smoke them if you got em.

I hope someone posts that picture of the spork weasel on this thread. My spouse and I earlier were discussing Reid not being your average weasel, but more like that spork weasel, a class by himself. I didn’t save that photo the last time it was posted.

Okay, you’re the first person to include in a comment something that’s been puzzling me for these past two weeks.

So the pubbies drafted something called a “censure” petition which, correct me if I’m wrong, means something to the effect that “we the senate hereby censure the words of so and so”?

See, I would think that the pubbies responded to the Moveon’s NY Times “general betray us” ad was equivalent to what the dems did to Rush. Although I thought there was a distinct difference between Move-on, a political action group, and Rush Limbaugh, a private citizen.

I mean it wasn’t like Move-on was a private person pursuing their happiness is what I’m saying here.

But per your post, it was a totally different ball of wax in that the Dems actually sent a letter on US Senate letterhead to Rush’s employer...not the same thing as this censure?

I didn’t realize this.

WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS? You think some of them, maybe one or two of the candidates, might be on the Sunday talk shows with some condemnation on what the mighty Senate of the U.S. just did this past week?

“WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS? “ This needs to be asked over and over.
