SCHIP, which stands for the State Children's Health Insurance Program, created in 1997 by Congress and President Clinton, is nothing but socialism in disguise!
The SCHIPS program was developed to insure children from low-income families whose parents made too much to be eligible for Medicaid. Despite the fact that the law was originally supposed to limit eligibility to families making not more than 200% of the poverty level ($40,300 for a family of four), seven states decided to set eligibility above 200% anyway. Furthermore, according to The American Spectator, fourteen states have applied loose enough definitions of child to extend coverage to parents, pregnant women and childless adults!
Some are even talking about expanding SCHIPS coverage up to 400 percent of the poverty level. This would mean that a family of four, making $82,600 a year would be eligible. Thus, children in families that are in the top 25 percent of income-earners would be eligible for government-funded health insurance. It also would extend the definition of the term child up to 25 years old!

I am nearing retirement age, but I am a child at heart. Can I have some free money, too?
