Bureaucrats who have lost all sight of common sense when it comes to innocuous childhood activities.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

PLEASE REMOVE THE GRAFFITI FROM YOUR PROPERTY,” the Sanitation Department warning letter read. “FAILURE TO COMPLY … MAY RESULT IN ENFORCEMENT ACTION AGAINST YOU.”... defined “graffiti” as “any letter, word, name, number, symbol, slogan, message, drawing, picture, writing … that is drawn, painted, chiseled, scratched, or etched on a commercial building or residential building.”

So, you can't put anything on your own private property. Better take down those house numbers and the "Welcome to the Jones'" and be prepared for more lawsuits against the city when police and ems barge into the wrong house at 3 am. And while they're at it, better ban that building graffiti which looks suspiciously like, "Brooklyn City Hall"

Any more doubt that many cops will do exactly what they are told to do?

Like following orders to disamrm law abiding citizens as we witnessed in New orleans...

"The property owner has 45 days to remove it..."

No problem, it won't last 45 days.

However, this WILL be used by beauracrats to up their statistics of how much they are needed.

If her parents have to come up with $300, how about making the parents of real criminals responsible for their crimes?

This sort of stuff is to be expected from the govt no matter which of the two major looting gangs, er I mean political parties is in charge. One can never lose sight of the fact that some people just love to exert power over others.

Sorry if I upset some of the neo-cons who think that big conservative govt is better than big liberal govt. Well, maybe not so sorry after all.

There goes Hopscotch and society as we know it with it.

What's next outlawing 'Jacks'?

(And forget Marbles. Those are lethal weapons now.)

It's ALL about money. No matter what the supposed "crime" is.

They (the low life, money grubbing, good for nuthin, thievin, scumbag, livin on the dole, so-called law enforcement officials) are trying desperately to confiscate as much money as possible to fill their coffers.

It's not like we have REAL criminals trying to kill us or anything like that!

big conservative govt

Good point. There is no such thing.

A conservative government would be small.

Jacks you mean those six sided pointy things carpet ninjas leave around the house for unsuspecting adults to step on while barefoot?

I thought they were outlawed with lawn darts and other tools of the trade for carpet ninjas.

I medieval times they were called caltrops and used to stop cavalry charges. They work really well, they once stopped my charge across the living room.

that sidewalk artist guy's stuff is incredible. I have seen tons of it in pictures. What is also fun to see about his art is when you get a view from the "off" angle. The perspective and dimensions he uses for it to look "right" when viewed right cause the off angle stuff to be some of the weirdest looking things ever. Such as the below...

And the off angle...

Probably a few days, or until the next rain.
