Prayers Needed Urgently (MRSA)
N/A | 10/10/2007 | Darnright

Posted on 10/10/2007 2:39:07 PM PDT by Darnright

Would all who are so inclined please pray for 2 young men at my daughter's high school, who have been stricken with MRSA? One is fighting for his life, and his situation is very serious. The infection is in his bloodstream, and he could lose his life. The other young man may lose his leg.

Can you please pray for Ashton and Cody?

There are 2 high schools in my area, that have students who've been infected with MRSA.

My mother in law was recently diagnosed with MRSA. She had a cut on her finger that turned black and my wife took her to the doctor where they did lab testing and found that it was MRSA. She is still on antibiotics for it, and is getting better.

Ping to BG...

Prayers for these 2 young men..
We had a young man recover from this in our community recently when all thought he would likely not make it.
The hyper-baric (sp?) seemed to have been what turned his condition around.
But it was in his face...and he was so little (just 5)..and we are all so thankful..but wow..it was so touch and go..

Prayers of course...

If I’m not mistaken, there is a hyperbaric chamber in our area. I sure pray that they use it, and that it stops the bacteria.

Thank heavens she’s doing well. Apparently MRSA is migrating out into the community more than we know.

Thanks. Both boys are on the football team. This bug is hitting kids on local teams. They’ve shut the gym down in my daughter’s school.

My daughter has a staph infection in her foot that is really persistant. We’ve been fighting it for over a month

I sure hope she gets well. You guys haven’t had any MRSA cases up Blacksburg way, have you?

Prayers for Ashton and Cody. May the G-d of Jacob cause the bacteria to flee their bodies, and let them know that the King of the Universe has healed them.

Is this what some call the ‘flesh eating’ disease?

Wow, I probably had a mild form of it in High School. I looked down at my arms, and instead of the veins being blue, they were red. The Dr. said is was a staph infection (scared the heck out me.) As it turns out, our coaches were spraying chicken manure on our practice football field—I had a wound that got infected, and they initially thought it was blood poisoning. Boy, today someone would get millions—I was just glad that I healed up!

MRSA can cause Necrotizing fasciitis or flesh eating disease. There isn’t just one bacteria that is the culprit:

Yikes! Prayers up for these two young men. MRSA is some wretched stuff -- my father was stricken with it when a bedsore of his became septic. Horrible stuff.

Keep us posted on how they do?

They are neighbors. I’m in Lynchburg. This is the first I’ve heard of it....prayers for the families, too, as well as the sick children.
