SPITZER'S WRONG TURN; CHOOSING ALIENS FIRST (suck-up to illegals detours)
NY POST ^ | October 1, 2007 | VOX POPULI

Posted on 10/01/2007 5:10:33 AM PDT by Liz

*** Spitzer cares more about obliging special-interest groups than law-abiding New Yorkers....and may very well be in violation of federal law. The Bronx

*** I voted for Spitzer, thinking he would actually make a difference...... I have a feeling he will be a one-term governor. Yorktown Heights

*** Let's see Spitzer get into an accident with an illegal immigrant. Guess what? They don't have car insurance. Manhattan

*** Why is he more concerned with the travel convenience of illegal aliens than with the lives, safety and cost to citizen voters and their families? Middle Village

Violations of state law?

Yeah, sure——like this little tinhorn dictator gives a fig about “laws.”

Only thing Spitler cares about is his own crass ambitions.

EXCERPT NYP OP-ED: Under the Real ID Act of 2005, all states must soon adopt rules for driver’s licenses similar to New York’s (pre-Spitzer) requirements. But now New York itself may be violating the federal law. It’s hard to see how Spitzer’s verification plans can meet the national-security goals of the Real ID Act:

After all, it’s also easier to falsify foreign records - say, to bribe a clerk in Mexico to give you a legal ID in someone else’s name. Spitzer is right to criticize the federal government for America’s incoherent and inefficient immigration system. But his rewriting of New York’s DMV rules doesn’t fix that - it just adds to the whole mess.

Did you read some of the comments from that link I posted? Compared to what’s said here they’re quite scathing. Nobody in their right mind supports this lamebrain policy so Spitzer’s blaming it on the “far right wing” sounds like desperation to me. I think he’s in the process of cracking up...

You got that right. Spitzer’s blaming it on the “far right wing” is VERY desperate.

In fact, he stole the "blame the VRWC" routine from Her Heinous herself.
