The MSM convinces the "Mindless Middle" that the war in Iraq is bad, although most of those polled couldn't find Iraq on a map. Then, they use the "polls" as topics for "news" articles.
Now, the Dem Senators think the "American People" support their position to end the war. It is an unspoken conspiracy that borders on treason. Grrrr...

Wouldn’t the poll make more sense to do after the report is released?

The sickening display of DemocRATs on the hearings, Skelton and now the little, creepy Lantos have spoken with such traitorous and arrogant accusations that I am hoping that the American people throw everyone in the DemocRAT Party OUT of Congress and the United States. This ia a national disgrace!

This is because of the constant hammering of the Lamestream Media with their negative BS. They have been pushing this from the day they heard their was a surge. They have hammered and hammered over and over again the negative view that the surge was and is not working. Folks this is called conditioning.
The American people are being conditioned daily by the mediocre Lamestream media in order to help the Socialist to push their agenda.
What is amazing, the Socialists (enlightened ones as they claim to be) are the very reason the Islamic Fascist hate our guts.

General Patton once articulated the truth (In 1945) that Americans hate a loser. After fighting for ties or losses in Korea, Vietnam, losing China, losing Cuba, too many Americans think that the Middle East is too far away to worry about. The MSM has pumped up the volume and propaganda too much. The Surge is starting to turn some opinion. If it continues to work another year or so, perhaps it will stabilize Iraq so the people can work out their problems. Surrender is not an option.

Wouldnt the poll make more sense to do after the report is released? Not if you are trying to engineer an outcome (i.e. a negative assessment of [any] progress in Iraq.)

Actually, the American people have every reason to be skeptical -- if not downright pessimistic -- about Iraq's future.
. . . some significant military gains, including a reduction in sectarian violence and a new partnership with Sunni Muslim groups to fight Al Qaeda in Iraq forces in Anbar Province.
I'd like to know how many U.S. soldiers have been killed and wounded in the last 4+ years by these "Sunni Muslim groups" that are supposed to be our partners now.

In Current Polls, 80% of respondents believe Democrat congress critters are yellow belly cowards with their heads in the sand and waving a white flag of surrender.

Consider the source and the limited group of folks being polled. This resembles the inflated Lancet poll of civilian deaths in Iraq. Be skeptical. Be very skeptical.

When you lose support for a war it is damn near impossible to get it back. Bush should of done this two years ago. History will not be kind. Of course History is written by lib’s which makes it even harder. If they can't win it now they will have to get out or President Hillary will take us out.

A test...
Boston Globe...check.
Two polls...check.
Haven’t clicked the link yet, will be surprised to see that neither of the polls are from Pew.
Let’s see.

Hmmm, no Pew poll.
Only a poll from the ever trustworthy ABC/Washington Post, and from the always esteemed CBS/New York Times.
I am wrong.
The liberals must be right.
Iraq was a bad idea.
We should have kept our slaves and let the south seceed.
I am stunned, and will never question our liberal masters again.
