Very positive piece on the front page of Sunday's Houston Chronicle.

Ron Paul's campaign buzz resonates on Internet

What remains to be seen is whether his online backing translates at polls

CENTER STRAFFORD, N.H. — In a New Hampshire meadow on a recent weekend, Ron Paul is without a doubt the main draw at a Republican presidential straw poll that attracts several long shot candidates.

Easy. Be an unelectable fringe candidate.

So, Ross Perot, um, I mean Ron Paul, is getting lots of media coverage. Color me unimpressed.

Be an unelectable fringe candidate.

Oh yeah, that's it. That must be why 95% of Fox News' "fair and balanced" and "most comprehensive" election coverage revolved around Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Thompson, Clinton, Edwards and Obama.

(Yes, I know this picture is a little dated with Gilmore and Tommy Thompson, but you get the point)

Ron Paul is elected president of the US. What next?

Do you remember the government shutdown that sent the Republicans running away like scalded dogs with their tails between their legs?

What happens when the first budget that is submitted is vetoed by Ron Paul? What will be the end game here? Does Ron Paul insist on a budget that only include constitutionally authorized spending?

How long will that last?

The press loves RINOs so much, you would think they are the nature channel. McCain is losing buzz, so the press is buzzing like flies around another RINO's butt..

Don't be fooled.. Paul is no Conservative.

Ron Paul's Voting Record (ya, ya, I know, there is an excuse for all of these, state's rights are more important than stopping abortion and fixing the border, Ronnie is making a statement, or everyone else was voting against it and he was just playing the game, yadda, yadda, yadda)

Here are some more ‘Conservative(sic)’ votes by Paul:

Voted NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes.

Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research.

Voted NO on barring transporting minors to get an abortion.

Voted YES on funding for alternative sentencing instead of more prisons.

Voted NO on more prosecution and sentencing for juvenile crime.

Voted NO on military border patrols to battle drugs & terrorism.

Voted NO on allowing school prayer during the War on Terror.

Voted NO on allowing vouchers in DC schools.

Voted NO on passage of the Bush Administration national energy policy.

Voted NO on implementing Bush-Cheney national energy policy.

Voted YES on barring website promoting Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump.

Voted NO on speeding up approval of forest thinning projects.

Voted NO on reforming the UN by restricting US funding.

Voted NO on requiring lobbyist disclosure of bundled donations.

Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits about obesity against food providers.

Voted NO on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers

Voted NO on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse.

Voted NO on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1.

Voted NO on emergency $78B for war in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Voted NO on $266 billion Defense Appropriations bill.

Voted YES on more immigrant visas for skilled workers.

Voted YES on providing $70 million for Section 8 Housing vouchers.

Voted NO on promoting work and marriage among TANF recipients.

Voted NO on treating religious organizations equally for tax breaks.

Let's also not forget Paul's Pork Projects (that he voted for before he voted against when he calls them unconstitutional but he is just playing the game when he submits them because everyone else does it.. yadda yadda yadda..)

I beg to differ. Most of what you listed that Dr. Paul voted no on was never intended to be the business of the federal government. We need a redefinition. Classical liberals are the conservatives that follow the Framers vision. 'Conservatives' are the party that is more concerned with power and has no problem with big government or the separation of powers between the states and the federal government

We have a long time before any of this will mean anything. I happen to believe R.P. would be a better President than any of the others now running. You evidently don’t. All we can do is keep on keepin’ on until the powers that be make their decision. We citizens can bring a little pressure to bear on those ‘powers’ but I’m not so naive as to think anything short of an armed rebellion will really get their attention.
One thing I find interesting: When all this started his chances of winning were something like 200 to 1. A couple of days ago I read a piece that quoted odds of 8 to 1. If that’s true (and it might not be) that’s a BIG gain and one that none of the other candidates have been able to equal.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
