Good searching. That’s why I think Mitt Romney is best choice for GOP (yes, I know he is this and that, but he exudes leadership & success. His old man was governor of Michigan and a guy who also exuded leadership, was an auto company CEO). Mitt was able to win in a very blue state, etc. But we’ll see if he survives the slings and arrows of the nominating process. I think the drive-buys would even like him and his wife, especially as HRC gets longer in tooth and wider abeam.

Good grief—David Gregory says to Rove, “Let’s talk about the Plame case, of which you were a central part.”

Does Chris really think that Karl Rove is “obligated” to give answers to the MSM that he will not give to Leahy and Waxman.

Karl is giving Chris a lesson on the Constitution and Chris is looking like an idiot with this line of questioning.

Chris may be down for the count. Nah, he came back after the break but looks a bit sheepish.

I’ll pay the cab fare for Martinez to go back(back anywhere)

Anywhere but to the Naval Observatory. For some reason a lot of people seem to think he's a potential Vice Presidential nominee, though I guess they forgot that Mel was born in Cuba and, unless he had an American parent I'm not aware of, he is constitutionally ineligible to the office of Vice President.

Actually, the job I had in mind is Mike Duncan's (previously Ken Mehlman's), the RNC Chairman. Martinez is the "General Chairman of the Republican Party", which, as I understand it, is more of a "face time" title than anything dealing with actual political strategy. It's a new post evidently created just for him. It's either a post created to pander to Latinos, or its there to groom him for "bigger things", though I can't imagine what that could be, since he's already in the highest elected federal office he can constitutionally hold.

Chrissy also blames falling Bridges.

One of the comments was that Rove built this great state-to-state infrastructure to really target voters, and that it was going to be useful even after he is gone.

Well of course Chrissy can’t have that... so he wiped the drool from his lip and said “Oh great... so we have this great partisan machine, but our bridges are falling down... HA!”

So I guess its Rove’s job to repair bridges, and Bush’s fault it didn’t happen.

P.S. Why does Chrissy always laugh at his own jokes with a single loud “HA”? Some kind of subliminal queue for us to laugh, or just psychotic?

If Rove were a Democrat, the drive-by TV networks would be lined up offering him his own show.

Rove to Gregory on the CIA leak investigation:

Rove doesn’t view himself as a confirming source (neither do I, btw). Saying “You heard that to” is not confirmation.

Gregory actually admits that Fitzy didn’t file any charges against Rove (WOW, shocker of shockers).

Rove saying he was never a target; discusses Armitage as the real leaker. Says he (Rove) does not think Val is owed an apology. Talks about the false allegations made by Joe Wilson and that Joe is the big liar in all of this (although he doesn’t say it that way). Talks about how joe CONFIRMED the fact that the IRaqi’s were trying to get Niger to sell them yellow cake. David Gregory’s response: SILENCE.

Finally getting to the end of the Meet the Press interview. So much for Fox being the "right-wing" network. If anything, David Gregory was more fair and more polite than Chris Wallace (which says a lot more about Chris than David).

And Rove's doing a great job hitting Hillary on health care.

Poor Gregory with every question he asks Rove you can see him sinking (just a little deeper) into the quick sand he has stepped into.

They have their talking points and just can not get over them no matter what the truth is. Same old stuff, repeat the lie and than repeat it over and over and maybe...

Rove calls what Moyers did a drive by slander.

Which it was.

And another great job explaining executive privilege! Rove asks what people would say if the executive branch claimed the right to question Congressional staffers on the advice they give to members of Congress, or Supreme Court Clerks on what they said to Supreme Court Justices.

"Chimpy W. Hitler" isn't a Congressman or Supreme Court Justice, so that, of course, is irrelevant.

I think "pander" is and was the key word there....

We have some truly talented Cuban Americans here in S. Fla. Martinez is not one of them.

I thought I had a handle on who the Dems VP would be but now I don't.

At first Oblama looked like a slam dunk but now after he has dared to go after the queen he is probably out.

a couple of articles on point:

It's not clear who issued the press release that is the second story, except perhaps the polling firm referenced in the piece.

Besides what does he bring to the table--dems already own Illinois and the black vote, what good is he.

I don't know but what a large percentage of the "solid black vote" won't just stay home if they feel that Hillary has dissed "their guy."  They'd never vote for a Republican, at least not this cycle (though I think they're primed for a shake up based on the Dhimmicrats embrace of Hispanics) but they simply might not vote.  The question is how is Obama perceived by that community and how is his treatment at Team Clinton's hands viewed.  Dicey territory.

Richardson keeps self-destructing so I don't know what they might have in mind.

Of the presidential candidates he's the only one I can see her choosing and, again, it ties back to the critical importance the Dhimmicrats are placing on Hispanics, including illegals, for their future.  The first article above mentions Warner.  I'm betting that there are a lot of other up and coming Dhimmicrats who the party and Team Clinton would want to bootstrap into prominance.  Spitzer, from NY?  Bredesen from TN?  Ed Rendell of PA?  Or how about Jon Corzine of New Jersey?  He's "pre-disastered," as Garp might say, and it would solidify the ties between the Dixie Mafia and the old NY/NJ crime families.  Plus Corzine would probably pay Bubba a sizable bribe to get the gig.

Maybe bubba will be her VP.

I know you're joking, but for the record this wouldn't be constitutional.  About the only thing said about the VP, besides serving as the President of the Senate, is that he must be qualified to be President.  Bubba can't be President unless the 2 term limit is repealed in the Constitution, therefore he can't be VP.

I really seethe every time I hear about our failing infrastructure, if MNJ's expose on Minneapolis politics is any example, it's more of a local problem than national.
