Duncan Hunter: Ninth place is just the start. The California congressman told CNNs Late Edition that he would continue to campaign in Iowa despite a disappointing performance. This is the first full week I have spent in Iowa in this campaign, Hunter said. I got lots of people who signed up for my campaign.
This is the start of my campaign. We are going to get out, work hard. It is a bright morning in Iowa.

Yes it is, Congressman Hunter!
B4DH!
If I was Hunter though, I'd start talking about red meat conservative issues such as taxes, trade, and government spending. Start talking about bringing high-paying manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. again, and Hunter will lock up the swing and Reagan Democrat voters.
Hunter came in ninth? He should just throw in the towel...after all, there’s only—what—about FIVE HUNDRED DAYS ‘till the election....

Like John Paul Jones said to the Captain of the Serapis,
“I have not yet begun to fight!”
When is he going to begin fighting, then?
Go Duncan Hunter!
Go to his web page and send in some $$$$.

I agree with you that to get the Reagan Democrat voters, Duncan needs to talk A LOT about bringing high-paying Outsourced jobs back to the U.S. again!
Nothing gets voters angrier than jobs going overseas and Illegal immigration!
BOTH of those subjects get people to unite - Just look at Lou Dobbs’ program. Ever since Lou started having a large segment of his program on illegal immigration, he viewing numbers have surged!
And as for the religious right - Duncan has them there also!
Duncan is strongly Pro-life! He is a stronger candidate than any other candidate - even with ALL of them put together!
Just look at his record:
http://www.ontheissues.org/Duncan_Hunter.htm
You can compare him with any other candidate running on this site also.
The last - or maybe first thing Duncan needs - are a group of fervent prayer warriors to pray for him and his campaign to succeed! That’ll put him in first place quickly!
Look at waht happened to Huckabee in Iowa - He won second place Without all the money Romney spent! I’m sure Huckabee’s prayer supporters prayed for him big time!
He HAS fought and won in the House—among many other bills introduced, the successful one for a Border Fence. He has stood for family, Constitution and liberty.
The real fight is about getting the news OUT to the masses.
Hey EEE, I agree with you. Rep. Hunter also has a deep faith in our Lord, and he must address that, as well as define human life beginning at conception.
He needs to add to his repertoire, about eliminating superfluous and obsolete federal departments; “government living within it’s means”; bringing back the good jobs; putting public education back in local hands; nominating judges who are staunch believers in our Constitution; strengthening our defense; and encouraging fair trade practices.
As I’ve said on other threads today, Rep Hunter’s appeal goes far beyond party, clear to the deep recesses of America’s heart. He alone has the credentials so needed in these disturbing times to bring us through to brighter days.
He needs to call Tancredo and tell him to quit & endorse him instead. Think I’ll send another donation to Hunter this Friday. He’s a good man.
Maybe we should all email Tom Tancredo and ask him to quit and endorse Rep. Hunterl. Thank you, EEE for your support for him. You are a good man, too!
If you contribute $100 or more and want a snappy Hunter Ranger cap, send your check made out to Hunter for President to:
Craig Keller
Hunter Pacific NW Campaign Coordinator
4445 53rd Ave. SW
Seattle, WA 98116-3912
You can also email him at: bckeller@worldnet.att.net but he is out of town for a few days, hopefully conferring with Rep. Hunter.
Ask him for the cap, for some bumper stickers and brochures, and please tell him Paperdoll sent you. Welcome to the team! :)
He has the best ideas of all the Republican candidates. Unlike Rudy McRomney, I think he actually believes what he says. Too bad his campaign is going nowhere fast. Maybe he will be the VP nominee.
Unfortunately the Prez has to be the pretty face and I think Hunter can be the Cheney of the next administration. Forget about the polls, know how the system works, and be the voice of reason in the sunday shows. Delivering the hard truth doesn’t win elections but is needed as a veep.
If not for President, I would love Duncan Hunter for Secretary of Defense or Homeland Security. Those are his strongest points and the places he can do most good.
That’s great, and I agree. Getting legislation going is wonderful.
When is he going to develop a top-notch campaign organization in all the key states and fight like he wants to win this thing?
As you know the POTUS is The Commander In Chief, and those you positions you picked for Hunter report to the POTUS. Point is, the best place for Hunter is POTUS.
“Maybe he will be the VP nominee.”
Laura Ingraham on her show says everybody say Duncan Hunter should be VP, but why not P, sez Laura.
If so MANY people like Duncan Hunter, but THINK he can’t win the presidential nomination, maybe he CAN!
You SHOW me a prettier face than Hunter’s! Take a good look at them other faces and get back to me. Indeed!

“Let’s all keep in mind that those who participated in the straw poll were religious types, so it’s no surprise that Brownback and Huckabee finished strong, and we all know “
Which is why Hunter needs to make his STRONG pro-life position known more in his speeches. That’s what Huckabee did, and he came in 2nd in the Ames straw poll.
Duncan Hunter & Brownback were the ONLY two presidential candidates to attend the pro-life rally in Washington, D.C.
And year after year, Duncan Hunter has tried to get legislation passed with the bill he authored, the personhood-at-conception bill that has over 100 co-sponsors, which would define personhood as moment of conception, so, it would allow us to have a reversal of the effects of Roe v. Wade without a constitutional amendment.
