I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.

Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.

We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

OK, Kristinn, I think we can officially say that BOR is busted. I’ve been digging through the posts today (he claimed that those comments were ‘just today’) and other than these threads, those comments or any like it were not posted today. I think he had a producer pull those up and someone didn’t fact check both the context (quoting someone else) or the date (2002 and before).. it is really sad when the best BOR can come up with are two, then he is spinning faster than my wife driving on ice.

I am sorely disappointed in him, and will never watch his television show again, or listen to his radio show again.
It is HORRIBLE slander for him to paint the entire FR website as a ‘hate’ site. Out of thousands of posts a day, he finds 2 or 3 ugly statements?? I want to see the documentation! I find it highly questionable that the statements he ‘quoted’ came from FR in the first place—they would have been report IMMEDIATELY, in my experience.

KRISTINN-—You did a great job! I waited to listen to the replay because I missed the beginning of the first run. I thought BOR pulled these lines out of context and was just using them to play fair and balanced. Too bad he didn’t mention the prayer warriors or the Canteen or the support this thread provides to our troops.
I was totally digusted with the way he portrayed this website. It is none of the things he said and how dare he think you can prevent EVERYTHING and “do a better job”.
This is NOTHING like DU.

The image you posted clearly shows it was a post from today, however, it should be easy to track down the thread because one of the posters uses a blue footer, I've seen this around and once we find the poster who uses the blue footer, we can see what they posted today and look at all those threads..
