Bamboozled (Jamie Glazov Interviews Angela McGlowan Alert)

FP: Angela McGlowan, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

McGlowan: It’s great to be with you. Frontpage does important work. The pleasure is all mine.

FP: What inspired you to write this book?

McGlowan: Well, like most black Americans, I grew up thinking I was supposed to be a Democrat. It wasn’t even something you questioned or thought twice about. Black equaled Democrat. Then after graduating from college I moved to Washington, DC, and began meeting prominent liberals and Democrats up close and personal. And that’s when I had an epiphany of sorts; I realized that the values my mother and father had instilled in me were 180 degrees removed from the policies and passions of the Democrat Party. I came to realize that I, and the 90 percent of black Americans who vote Democrat, had been Bamboozled.

FP: Tell us some of the people you interviewed for the book and why. What did they reveal about bamboozlement?

McGlowan: I wrote Bamboozled to expose and uncover the lies liberals have used for generations to exploit minorities for the vote. What makes Bamboozled unique is the fact that I interviewed over 60 of the biggest names in politics and media, both liberal and conservative. My purpose was to ascertain their point of view on the history of the two- party system and the current state of single women, blacks and Latinos. I interviewed everyone from Bill O’Reilly to Rev. Al Sharpton; from Labor Secretary Chao to real- life TV Judge, Joe Brown.

Readers are going to be shocked by some of the on-the-record admissions of some of the liberals I interviewed. For example, Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. confessed to me that, yes, the Confederate Flag was the Democrat Party’s flag. Kim Gandy, president of NOW, confessed that Rush Limbaugh redefined the word feminism and destroyed the word liberal. Rev. Al Sharpton, who portrays that the Democrat party is the party of equality for blacks, admitted that Art Fletcher, a black man, during the Nixon Administration created Affirmative Action.

There are so many hidden gems in this book that proves that there truly is a love affair between the liberal mainstream media and politicians which has created an illusion of inclusion.

FP: Can you talk a bit about how Liberals are using the illegal immigration issue to divide the Latino Community?

McGlowan: Latinos, the fastest growing demographic group in America, would logically be a perfect fit for the Republican Party. Policies that support faith, family, the right to life, home ownership and enterprise all line up with their conservative values. With that in mind, liberals have begun to seek any emerging opportunity to bamboozle Latinos for the vote, and illegal aliens are the group ripe for exploitation. These waves of illegal aliens that breech our nation’s borders; often poor, uneducated, discontented with their economic plight, and unfamiliar with their surroundings are seen as the raw human material that liberals can repair, renovate, and expand to the “big brother” welfare state. It’s the same “How to Bamboozle Minorities Playbook” liberals have used for decades on blacks and women. It takes minor modifications to use the same playbook to bamboozle Latinos.

FP: From all your experience, what do you think most women really want? And where do Democrats really stand on women and their “issues”?

McGlowan: In short: The same thing that men do. Of course, this is not what liberals would have us believe. Abortion is not the defining issue that separates one group from another. Women care about Security: Homeland, Job and Financial. Women care about the economy, healthcare, and education. Women care about issues that impact America.

FP: Share your views on affirmative action with us. What makes it the liberals’ sacred cow?

McGlowan: Liberals shout from the mountain top that we need to preserve Affirmative Action, a system based on race and gender, not on merit. A system that tells minorities standards must to be lowered for equal opportunity. Democrats contend race and gender should be central in hiring for a job or for college admissions in America. Affirmative Action, noble in its original purpose, has been transformed into yet another tool used by liberals to bamboozle minorities. Democrats have traditionally offered an illusion of inclusion but now liberalism’s most sacred cow is about to be sacrificed. Ironically, the Democrats will be the ones doing the butchering.

Let me explain: When the Democratic primary is finished, so too will be the rationale for Affirmative Action. With Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama leading the Democratic pack and Bill Richardson vying for a seat at the table, liberals are on a collision course with conscience. Liberals will finally be forced to choose on merit. Liberals will soon decide whether to elevate a woman, a black American or a Latino to run for president. But whomever they choose, they will have, to use their own lingo, “disenfranchised” a minority.

FP: So what would your advice be to Republicans on how they can make better inroads into the 3 constituencies we’ve just discussed? And how can Republicans win in 2008?

McGlowan: I hope Bamboozled will serve as a roadmap that will assist Republicans in reaching out to women, black and Latinos. I believe once minority groups open their eyes and are not afraid to see truth they will choose the party of Lincoln. Not because they’ve been tricked by half-truths, not because they’ve been fooled by so-called community leaders, but because they are, at last, voting their values.

FP: What are your thoughts on the War on Terror in general and the war in Iraq in particular?

McGlowan: Liberals want Americans to believe that the war in Iraq is a separate campaign from the War on Terror. I could not disagree more. The two are one in the same. What’s worse, Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards, who voted while in the Senate to invade Iraq, even stated that there is “NO” War on Terror. Recently, repudiating the campaign, Edwards stated that the war in Iraq is merely a "bumper sticker slogan" put out by the Bush administration. This non-sense represents the overall Liberal strategy to the path of defeat. This party has presented a strategy of flip-flopping, the blame game, smear and fear tactics, and now cut and run.

It is imperative that we have an overall Republican victory in 2008 both in Congress and the White House. I applaud the Bush Administration and its handling of the War on Terror. I applaud the fact that we have not had an attack on our homeland since 9/11. From Fort Dix to the JFK plot, this administration has foiled many attempted terrorist attacks: some we may never ever know. Unfortunately, now the Democrat led congress has politicized this war and has put our military in greater danger because the enemy sees that this country is not united, and a divided house will fall.

FP: What do you see ahead as happening in the 2008 election? What will a Democrat victory mean for the nation, especially in the context of our war with Radical Islam?

McGlowan: As it stands right now, unless Al Gore throws his hat into the ring, Hillary Clinton will win the nomination. Either would be a disaster as Commander and Chief. It is imperative that Republicans start right now on a massive outreach effort to women, blacks, and Latinos. We must educate them on our values of empowerment because Democrats will do everything in their power to exploit these three constituencies for the vote. If Republicans are defeated in 2008, God help us all because Radical Islamic fascists will do anything by any means necessary to rid the world of the “infidels”: the enemy. In their eyes, that is America.

FP: Angela McGlowan, thank you for joining Frontpage Interview.

McGlowan: It was an honor to share my thoughts with you.

The newest conservative author. Very attractive and thoughtful. An African American Ann Coulter:

A pretty good interview by Jamie Glazov on her new expose of the liberal agenda.

Why would more Iraqis align themselves with our troops if the liberal media and Democrats divide us concerning the Iraq War and the WOT? Simple answer is that they haven’t and won’t until Democrats stop enabling the enemy this way by adding to the fear of our best potential ally, the Iraqi people.

I’m just now watching her on C-SPAN! She’s terrific!!

She is an outstanding speaker and should be much better known (I’d seen her name before but really didn’t know anything about her).

FReepers, please check out her book. I’m going to order it right away. She deserves much support and far more publicity than she has received to date.

She ought to be included in many conservative forums and workshops, panels, speaking invitations, etc.
