Authorities have taken into custody a former cargo worker at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City who allegedly recruited an FBI informant to help blow up jet fuel tanks and pipelines at the airport, law enforcement officials told ABC News.
The plotters had "indirect" links to overseas terror elements and the plot had links to Guyana, Trinidad and possibly Germany, a source said.
The former cargo worker, originally from Guyana, had been under surveillance and allegedly met with a radical group in Trinidad, sources say.
The planning for the plot was said to be going on for two to three years but sources claim the alleged plotters were nowhere near any ability to put it into place...

I have to listen to ABC News at work occasionally, and it's a tossup with them or NBC News to which is the worst liberal organ. I got into an argument with a co-worker one day after some lie ABC News spouted concerning unemployment. The blurb they came out with said that too many people can't find work. This when the unemployment rate was at about 4.6% They only report the American soldier and Iraqi civilian deaths in the Iraq War and never any positive developments or enemy casualties.
Yup. I will be interested to see what ol’ Chuckie Schumer, let’s-gut-the-Patriot-Act, has to say about this.
Why do they report this crap? Just take care of your law enforcement biz and enough said. I think sometimes they want to parade out the brass to get pay raises. Just a bit cynical. And that goes for all the press confs, “runaway brides, murders, etc etc. Enough already.

Yeah, but that’s changing. More and more people are saying they don’t watch or read the MSM anymore. Think about it, do you actually know anybody that still gets TIME or NEWSWEAK? The only place I see those rags anymore are on my Doctor’s waiting room table.

I guess I'd side with your co-worker on the lack of veracity of the employment report. Most new "jobs" were created by the birth-death statistical model, not counted. The truer rate (if one were to count people who did not have a job but wanted one) would be just under 10%. Of course, it isn't actually possible to count every one, but careful sampling exercises have been conducted that lead to the 10% conclusion. I personally know people who gave up the job hunt and are outside the Labor Department models.
