...the ugly reality is that Democrats desire a massive influx of new voters, while Republicans seek to please their big business supporters with a cheap and pliable labor force.

Great time to start a legitimate Third Party and clean house!

Forget about it. No one is seriously going to stop this. It might get delayed. It might get altered at first and then the alterations removed later.

We have to learn to live with this invasion. It might mean forming secret societies to enforce our collective ability to survive. I’m sure that sounds paranoid, but really, folks, no one is going to stop the invasion and life will not go on with business as usual. There will be major changes. We should be thinking about a proactive role for us in this new and highly anti-American country that we are going to find ourselves living in.

This is a superb piece, and patriots everywhere (of which there are millions) will stop this effort, will implement true security for our Republic, and will pass on a great inheritance to our children and grandchildren.

Political forces for this are just too outnumbered by a very aware population that, in the Internet era, is just too well connected to be so totally lead down a path which we do not want to be lead down.

The beginning of the end is already here for this alien invasion of our soil.

So they want illegal aliens to pay fines that could total as much as $5000, for them to be insulated from justice demanded by the laws they’ve violated, and for them to be put on a path to citizenship and Legislators say this isn’t amnesty.

The penalty for just crossing the border at any place but a designated entry point is fines up to $5000 PLUS deportation, so illegal aliens are being told by this legislation they will only have to pay no more than the original penalty due PLUS they’ll be insulated from deportation proceedings AND be placed on a path to citizenship.

Legislators of all stripes are nothing but liars to even suggest this bill isn’t about amnesty.

Gubamyster, I wish you’d link to or post the pic of the border sign.

I just called both of my (TN) senators (using the hotline set up by the Zamnesty supporters at 1-800-417-7666) and got right through to a real person in both cases. In addition, I called the President Comment line at 1-202-456-1111 and to my surprise, waited less than 2 minutes to talk to someone about the bill.

In each case, I mentioned five points. First, that the President is dead wrong on this subject, and that clinging to it in the face of near universal opposition from the base of his own party is tearing the Republican party apart.

Second, contrary to the language games that the President and other Zamnesty supporters are peddling, EVERY ONE of these invaders will automatically and immediately receive provisional Z visa status - permission to remain here indefinitely, without sanction or penalty. They can remain outside the system as long as they please.

Third, according to Gun Owners Of America, the bill contains restrictive, punitive gun control provisions that have NOTHING to do with illegal immigration or border control. How many more of these Senatorial “tricks of the legislative trade” does this “comprehensive” conglomeration of pet projects and provisions contain? The Senate - specifically, the Republican Zamnesty supporters - has proved itself unworthy of our trust.

Four, BY LAW, we are supposed to have 700 miles of fence on the border. In a full year, we have just 2 of those miles actually built. Legislative promises bearing the full imprimatur of the US Congress and President, have been ignored, so please do not demean my intelligence by offering NEW promises without real performance. Until I see documentation of 700 miles of high security border fence, DO NOT ask me to believe you.

Finally, number five. The Washington Times reported on May 31 that the RNC has experienced a 40 percent decline in small donor contributions, along with 99 percent opposition to the immigration bill before Congress. The RNC response? THEY FIRED ALL 65 PHONE SOLICITORS, and shut down the phone bank! Well, killing the messenger that way does nothing more - or less - than killing off the base of the party. They will stay home or vote third party on election day, and the RINOs will go extinct, just as they deserve.

Militarize the borders. We need no border wall.

"Our nation is on the verge of "Balkanizing," and does not need a massive new constituency to assert "rights" and stress a racial/ethnic identity that bears no commonality with the principles on which our nation was founded."

Bigtime, thanks to the OBL traitors.

the ugly reality is that Democrats desire a massive influx of new voters, while Republicans seek to please their big business supporters with a cheap and pliable labor force.

This is like two guys going to Las Vegas, the Democrat is going to Vegas to own the casino, and the mathematical certainty of winning, while the Republican is excited because he was given $1000 to spend in the casino and thinks he's going to get rich betting against that same mathematical certainty.

Insanity for any Republican to vote for this illegal alien amnesty!
