[John]Edwards, [Harry]Reid continue to trade barbs over Iraq (Silky Pony gets slapped by Dingy)

Former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) denounced House Democrats’ new Iraq proposal Wednesday, drawing yet another rebuke from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) office.

Edwards began the day by harshly criticizing House Democrats’ proposed plan to give President Bush only half the funds he requested for the Iraq war, then vote again in July on whether to give him the rest.

“This is not a compromise; it is a concession,” Edwards said in a statement. “This proposal may not give George Bush all the money he wants, but it gives him all the money he needs to continue his surge and keep the war going.”

Reid spokesman Rodell Mollineau said that while Reid “respects [Edwards’s] opinions on the war,” the former senator no longer has to worry about voting.

“We wish that he still had his seat in the Senate,” Mollineau said. “We need every vote we can get. “At the same time, we’re legislating, and he’s campaigning.”

Bush threatened to veto the measure, prompting another response from Edwards, who was the only Democratic presidential candidate to speak out on the topic by press time yesterday.

“The president has just demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that he cannot be negotiated with, he cannot be compromised with,” Edwards said. “There is only one way to stop him — Congress must cut off funds to prolong the war.

“That’s the only real power [lawmakers] have to end this war. They passed a plan to support our troops and bring them home, and they should do it again.”

Damn!
The way the leftist, traitorous Democrats are behaving now - the surrender and betrayal of our Afghanistan and Iraq effort, will be so bad it will make Vietnam look like a victory by comparison!

Separate but similar story posted yesterday. Kucinich is burning a lot of bridges:

Obey to Kucinich: #$%@!!!

Rep. Dave Obey (D-Wis.) is at it again. He’s already been captured on “YouTube” denouncing “idiot liberals” over the war.

Tuesday he went a step further. He offended some fellow Democrats with delicate ears when he used extremely strong language to attack anti-war Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), during a House Democratic caucus meeting, according to sources who were in the room.

“He cursed at him,” said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). “I think Mr. Obey was unfairly harsh and disrespectful.”

What exactly was said is still in question. One source wasn’t sure and others wouldn’t repeat the language.

Sounds like we need the happy face eating popcorn graphic or somesuch. I knew that they couldn’t hold their coalition together. How do you put Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, Pink Sapphire, Dingy Harry, Cindy Sheehan, Rosie O’Donut, Hillary and the like on a team and expect a positive result?

Will just one of these fifth column, SOB’s be so kind as to state what is going to result in the Middle East, and indeed for freedom all over the world, upon cutting off funds and bringing the “boys” home???

Defeat will bring about national security for the U. S.???

Reid and Edwards are pimps/whores of the worse kind; and Soros is their procurer. Wake up , America, to the evil within.
