Shouldn't Al Sharpton be named in the suit? None of this would have happened without him.

Imus comment that both CBS and MSNBC could have prevented his ‘nappy-head’ remarks from actually going out over the airwaves is in fact, a powerful argument.
The fact that neither party even attempted to hit the delay switch which would have put a few seconds of dead air out there instead of Imus’ words, is going to be hard to explain, IF this actually ends up goint to trial.
I suspect that at some point, CBS will choose to settle out of court. If Garbus took on this case, he already knows CBS is on shaky legal ground.
Hey, a great week for CBS eh? Katie Colon has almost a 50 percent unfavorable view from the public, her numbers continue to lag in 3rd place, and now CBS is getting hit with legal action by Imus.
‘No joy at Black Rock’, and it couldn’t happen to nicer folks. :)

So where is CBS going to find money for Katie Couric’s severance pay?

Does this mean Bob Scheiffer won’t be asking the I-man to listen to the country songs he writes anymore?

I hope the whole crew shares in the settlement. Imus isn’t the only one who lost his job.

Good job! He will settle out of court at probably 10 million which is pretty descent.

The price tag keeps going up!

And he claims Imus's show was on a five second delay that allowed the network to censor him if they wanted. Money quote. That would be CBS that called those girls nappy-headed hos. Go IMUS!!!!

I *loathe* Don Imus, not because of his politics, but because I think he’s a no-talent loser who tried and failed to be 10 percent as funny as Howard. I think he’s slimy, smarmy and wildly arrogant.
But I hope he gets every penny he’s suing for.

o I-Man Go! Personally, I can't stand the asshat, but I hope he wins every penny.
CBS is going to have a very difficult time wiggling out of this unless there are clauses in the contract that are in their favor.
