Long before the O. J. Simpson trial, the "trial of the century" was the Lindberg baby kidnapping and murder case. The son of the most famous American family of the 20th century, (Colonel Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh) was kidnapped in 1932 and declared dead after being missing for six weeks. The body (so badly decomposed that proper identification was not possible), was presented to Charles Lindberg. Mr. Lindberg identified the body as that of his missing son, even though witnesses question even the sex of the corpse. Bruno Haupmann, a carpenter, and German immigrant, who had some acquaintance with the Lindberg family, was tried and convicted in a media circus show trial. Mr. Haupmann was executed soon after his conviction. Forensic evidence of the child's corpse, and other evidence of the location of corpse have always been questioned. The child's body was cremated within hours of Charles Senior's posthumous identification.

Wow—pretty darned amazing if this turns out to be true. I’m not fluent on the case, but I remember hearing/reading about a lot of doubt regarding Bruno Hauptmann and in fact if the body that was found was truly the Lindbergh baby.
The ear evidence alone is pretty damning.

Do you have any insights here? All the histories seem to remark about the skepticism and sensationalism. Bruno always claimed his innocence. This guy, if he is who he says he is, claims his father was in on the kidnapping. This could be a major revision of an American legend’s life.

Why? Two people with similar ears? It would take many more traits than that.
You should be skeptical of this claim. Let the guy come up with some real evidence. Afterall how would he know? The kid was an infant.
All he'd presumably need is a sample from the "second family" in Germany. They'd likely be far more cooperative.
Major conspiracy MIB alert. Charles Jr. says the FBI is stonewalling the facts. If this thread gets pulled, that confirm everything.

C. Lindberg was a rather odd man. A eugenecist who loved the environment; a hater of war that nevertheless admired the Nazi war machine; a man who loved his family, yet fathered a German girl out of wedlock.
Jim Fisher's two books on the kidnapping are definitive. He went right back to the original evidence which is kept in a State Police archive/museum in New Jersey. Don't bother reading anything else about the case. Fisher's investigation was exhaustive, and he has a police investigative background. The baby was killed shortly after the kidnapping, and Hauptmann was clearly guilty.
I also have the book by a highly respected handwriting examiner who testified at the trial that was published after the trial with many photostats of the kidnap letters and Hauptmann's known handwriting. Believe me, they match.
Over the years, there have been many fake Lindbergh babies and many stupid "theories" about the case. This is just one more example.
