Do you have any insights here? All the histories seem to remark about the skepticism and sensationalism. Bruno always claimed his innocence. This guy, if he is who he says he is, claims his father was in on the kidnapping. This could be a major revision of an American legend’s life.

Nope. I believe that the NJ State Police (under Schwarzkopf the elder) did their best, that whoever killed the young Lindberg did so after panicking that the police were "getting close", and that Hauppman was likely the culprit.
C. Lindberg was a rather odd man. A eugenecist who loved the environment; a hater of war that nevertheless admired the Nazi war machine; a man who loved his family, yet fathered a German girl out of wedlock.

I heard years ago that Lindberg’s sister had a hand in taking the boy and Charles wanted her protected so they came up with a sucker to take the fall....If this guy is Charles Jr,now THAT’S A STORY!!!!!!!
