—as somewhat of an aside to this, after doing a tour of Civil War battlefields four years ago and listening to the politically corrected stuff put forth by some of the guides, I suspect that after a Hillary administration, history will be corrected to reveal that the war was won by the slaves, wielding their hammers and sickles-—
Local idiots viciously fought against a statue of Robert E Lee [finally] being erected in the Sharpsburg/Antietam Battlefield national park.
They felt the presence of any “tribute” to him was “innapropriate”.
Some other local guy paid for a piece of land and Marse Robert’s statue now stands on the periphery of the battlefield.
