A Chinese man is divorcing his wife after she pretended to hang herself as an April Fool's joke
It happened when Mr Lin, of Shanghai, came home on April 1 after a business trip, reports the Shanghai Evening Post.
"When I opened the door, I saw a black object swinging in the air. When I turned on the light I was shocked to see my wife had hanged herself," he said.
Lin immediately called police and the property office. Office staff helped Lin take down the 'body' while waiting for the police.

It MIGHT have been excusable as a one-time lapse in judgement. But this woman sounds like a constant P.i.t.A.

The rest of the article notes that this wife is a 26 year old actress, plays jokes on him all the time, and wants to keep the marriage “fresh.” The husband should reconsider, there is a shortage of females in China for a less than funny reason.
I would have been more impressed had she stuck her head in an unlit gas oven and pretended to be dead.
She was trying to make him a necropheliac.
This guy is only pissed-off because she is not really dead, now he’ll actually have to go through a divorce.
That’s sick of her to do that. I would be soooooooooo pissed.
The fact that she’s an actress should have been a warning. Now he wonders why she’s nuts.
Had a buddy in the business and he would never date an actress. He said they were crazy. Then I had a neighbor who was an actress. Some workmen stopped me and said, “She’s crazy.”
So there you have it.
I agree. Jokes are funny only if both sides are laughing. When one’s spouse lacks the same sense of humor, it is time to adjust. Continuing to do jokes that obviously annoyed or upset the husband constitutes cruelty in my book.
I thought they had a shortage of chicks.

She’s a sick puppy. It’s funny from a distance but I’m sure living thru it all is a major trauma.
It’s a great prank, but playing practical jokes, especially extreme ones like this on your spouse is IMHO a poor idea. They know when and where you sleep.
