WASHINGTON Members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said "parents and children have nothing to fear."
Asked about the alert notice, the FBI's Rich Kolko said "there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern," although law enforcement agencies around the country were asked to watch out for kids' safety.

...there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern
As I recall before 9/11 there was no history of anyone flying planes into buildings either.

Yeah, I am certain al Queda has nothing but cuddly wonderfulness in plans for our children.
Nothing to worry about here. Just go back to sleep, now.

It was not immediately clear whether the extremists intended to do with the school buses.Oh, pul-e-e-e-e-e-ze!

Cognitive dissonance. On the one hand it's the FBI's job to warn against serious threats from terrorists. On the other hand, it's the FBI's job to pretend that none of the terrorist killings that have actually taken place in America ever happened.

When there is a lack of identification you can bet fully well the they are muslims. If they were the KKK or neo-nazi skinhead white boys you can bet the ranch that theywould be identified by name and SSN.

I am a little conflicted here. Estremists are signing up for jobs in which they have custody of America's children, yet there are "no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern."
Shouldn't there be alarm bells going off SOMEWHERE?

This is so horrible. So this is how they're going to do it, all at once on the same day they're going to drive 50 school buses filled with children off cliffs or in front of speeding trains.
At the same time snipers all over the country will start popping people one at a time, making them as hard to catch as that Malvo POS was, so it will go on and on.
And who know whether/how many big bombs might be ready for use?
Well, this is what happens when you don't secure yourself, and this administration, for the purpose of believing in a Mexican fantasy, did not secure us.
Of course it would be lovely if nothing happened. But I just thought this scenario up off the top of my head. Imagine if me and a few thousand others had 5 years to make plans. I feel, unfortunately, that sooner or later, there will be hell to pay for our lack of internal immigration enforcement.

That question jumped right out at us. I could almost think that the author expected us to understand that the Feds were talking about Islamists.

Can you imagine the day when all over America, terrorists blow just ONE bus up in the school bus lines and kill hundreds if not thousands at each school all over the nation? This isn't just terrorism. This is freaking war!
OK, back to my serendipity. Nothing to worry about. All hail the Democrats! After all, they care about "the children".

Yeah, it would be something if 100 buses full of kids where deliberately crashed in synchronization if different parts of the country. If that happened, and officials knew about it (which they seem to), then someone should be drawn and quartered.

It is one thing that they are signing-up. The more important matter is, are we hiring them?
That would be disturbing. Further, if they are dangerous why are we letting them run around free?

History?
Chowchilla School Bus Hijacking
The most infamous incident of school bus hijacking occured more than a quarter century ago in Chowchilla, Calif. There, at 4:15 p.m. on the afternoon of July 15, 1976, three young men hijacked a school bus with 26 children onboard.
The children, including their driver, were herded into a moving van that was buried -- yes BURIED -- in a quarry near Livermore, California. The kidnappers demanded $5 million ransom. The school bus driver and students eventually burrowed their way to safety after being trapped for 16 hours in the van. Their captors were captured within two weeks.
The three young men convicted of the crime, Richard Schoenfeld, then 22, his brother James, 24, and Newhall Woods also 24, were sentenced to life in prison where they continue to serve to this day. A TV movie was made of the event and the kidnappers have tried to profit from the film, but to no avail.

I assume if the FBI is announcing this, these are more than the garden variety muslims that are already driving a large percentage of the school buses in our area.

I can't believe you people. Okay, so they're members of extremist groups, and they're signing up to drive school buses. Well, extremists gotta eat, too, right? While they're planning terrorist activities, they have to go under cover so the FBI can't find them, so, really, the SAFEST thing is to have extremists driving our school busses as cover--I mean, they're not gonna BLOW their cover by blowing up a bus or taking kids hostage, right? So this is a GOOD thing.
Like my DUmmie impression? :D
