Yes, they tried to move it out of DC, unsuccessfully. DC jury was the only hope and consideration of Fitzgerald when he started this sham of "investigation, because he knew who the "leaker" when he took over the case from FBI - Armitage.
And if you think the verdict had anything to do with "enough evidence", you should listen again to the WaPo reporter who spoke for the jury : " WHERE WAS ROVE, WHERE WERE THE OTHERS...? "

if Plame was covert, are you suggesting that Wilson could reveal his wife's status to a member of the media at a cocktail party, and that would be OK because it wasn't INTENTIONAL - it was just chit-chat, and therefore doesn't count?
have you worked on any DoD projects? every piece of information, every document, is marked classified - with no regard as to whether the contents fit that bill or not. it's done as a matter of course, and I am sure CIA works the same way.

let's stop beating around the bush, was Plame covert, yes or no? Fitzgerald himself isn't making that claim, so I am assuming the answer is "no". so if the CIA referral says "investigate the issue of one of our covert agents being outed", and its established that she isn't covert, from that point forward - what is the case about?
But that's it. Had Mr. Libby been found not guilty, or if there had been a hung jury, there wouldn't be anything to report (read: gloat over).
Yeah, it's pretty useless with lugsoul, voltaires_zit, homer777, freedomdefender ... when they run out of facts, or discounting the proof they're given, they call you names and demand more proof while providing none themselves.

classified document have certain handling protocols which must be followed, and there are penalties for violating those.
I frankly don't know what a "classified person" is. Maybe lugsoul knows. I've worked on defense projects as a contractor in industry, was given instruction on classified document handling - never once was I told: "person X is classified", or that a person could be "classified".
i believe that can be admitted, as long as it's not being admitted to prove that libby did or did not say it, the fact that wilson said it to armitage can be admitted (hope not wrong, but just had 5 months of evidence class)
the grand jury proceedings are only secret depending on the politcal agenda of those who leak, i'm sure anything damaging to wilson we will never hear
