BTW - Armitage saying that Wilson said it isn't admissible for the truth of the matter - that's classic hearsay.

So what? Last I checked, Free Republic wasn't a court of law.

So, you got any admissible evidence that Wilson called anyone - anyone at all - and told them that?

Give me unfettered prosecutorial authority, a federal grand jury and an unlimited budget, and maybe I'll find your admissible evidence. Heck, perhaps Fitzgerald already has it - he could have asked Wilson that question under oath. But guess what - since the grand jury's proceedings not brought out in court are still secret, we don't know. And Wilson's role in the outing wasn't relevant to the trial.

> Do you always play cheerleader to corrupt democrats?

Nope. Just shy away from the corrupt hypocrisy that claims two sets of rules, one for guys we like and a different one for guys we don't.

Sandy Burgler got a puny fine, and security clearance suspended until 2008.

And whose administration prosecuted him? Whose fault was the sentencing they went for? Also, while we are at it, whose adminstration tried and sentenced the border patrol agents. The way some people around here wine and moan you would think Bill Clinton was still president.

What have we come to in this country with our highly touted legal system? One man was acquitted of murder despite every on e knowing he did it, just because of the color of his skin. Now we have a man convicted of lying about a crime that wasn't committed because of his beliefs. What has happened?

___

We have come to the fact that the Stalinists are the permanent power structure regardless of who sits in the Oval Office.
They took over the Judiciary a long time ago and have turned it into the most power branch of Government.
They will have us all in jail eventually for not being true believers.
While the entire time they warn everybody about us and how we are dangerous to freedom.

LOL, obviously if he would have testified, you would be saying he shouldn't have, that no defendant should, as many lawyers often council. I'm sure they are second quessing themselves now, as all do.

Motive was very important in this case, the juror just stated this on the air, regardless of judges instructions.

Any juror with common sense, and not one tainted by political propaganda that has surrounded this case for years, would not send a human being to jail for not remember conversations the same way others did, especially when it was so consistent, frequent, and was unabashed. Not to mention ridicules on its face that he would plan this with so many in his office and at various news outlets to contradict him.

It is a crime that Fitz used no discretion in this case, because he knew he had a political jury.

I have no respect for a jury that behaves like they live in a Banana Republic.

"I wonder if the networks will break from their Anna Nicole Smith coverage..."

LOL. I doubt it...unless the verdict is guilty.

A Republican who is thisclose to the Presidency and Vice Presidency has been fouind guilty of...something.

Osama could detonate several atomic bombs on American soil all at once, the MSM would push THAT aside to report the Libby verdict.

I believe part of the VAWA was the fact that there was a provision that the accuser could look into the sexual history of the defendant. The accuser's history was not admissible for some reason, cough, NOW $$$ cough, cough.

Without that provision the name Lewinsky would have probably never came up. I guess Jones' lawyers at the time knew about Lewinsky and it snowballed on Bubba from there.

Not sure about a State worker sexually harassing another State worker is a misdemeanor in Arkansas but it's a low level misdemeanor in several States.

Yes, the VAWA was instrumental in Paula Jones' civil suit - but I don't think it would have allowed any federal criminal charges to have been brought against Clinton.

No, it had nothing to do with the charge or whether the suit should even have been brought against Clinton, they used it for discovery.

Well, hindsight is always 20-20. But the TV talking heads are saying that Libby's lawyers all but promised to put Libby on the stand in their opening statements (saying something like "you will hear Libby say..."). The judge was supposedly shocked Libby didn't take the stand. I haven't been following this case closely enough to know if any of that is true, but teasing a jury and not delivering would look a bit suspicious - even if a jury isn't really supposed to take that into consideration.

How is it that that treasonous little gremlin, Sandy Berger, is free while a patriot like Scooter Libby is facing a jail term?

That sums it up for me.

Wow, you forgot about Fitz's close argument. He repeated lied about how the admin outed Plame. What a shame!
