Good riddance. I hate tuna. Smells awful and comes in the same size cans as cat food.

It's all Nancy Pelosi's fault. She gets major funding from the tuna industry, as we learned this past week.
Let's just call her Nancy the Tuna Killer.

Good riddance. I hate tuna. Smells awful and comes in the same size cans as cat food. Well of course you hate Canned tuna. Get yourself a nice, 1 or 2 inch thick tuna steak, cover with lemon pepper and grill both sides on a hot grill for about 4 minutes. There is nothing better you can put in your mouth.
Aside from that, the world will never be able to get the third-world countries and poachers to stop over-fishing. I've seen pictures of huge stacks of billfish like marlin, sailfish, swordfish in mexico that were taken on long-lines. Also, fwiw, in this country, salt-water sports fishing generates much more revenue than commercial fishing does.

Send it to Mexico.
Most people don't know that back in 1912 Hellman's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the "Titanic" was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after New York City. Mexicans were crazy about the stuff. The Mexican people were eagerly awaiting delivery and were disconsolate("desper ados") at the loss. So much so that they declared a national day of mourning which they still observe today. It is known, of course, as ...sinko de Mayo.

Rats chance they will get the Japanese on board with anything like this. Tuna is God to them.

who have blamed the global fad for Japanese food for bringing tuna numbers to the brink of eventual extinction.
What does this statement mean, exactly?
