It really burns me up to think that I have worked all these years and paid into social security and the gov. just takes it like it was theirs and uses it as they like! In any other circumstance that would be called robbery, right! Punishable by imprisonment, right? I am angry beyond words! But what can we do about it? I am willing but don't know the recourse.

Message from Mexico: THANK YOU GRINGOS - ALL YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY ARE BELONG TO US NOW.

I suggest Americans learn how to adapt to the Mexican style Social Security System: It involves getting a bowl when you turn 65 and an assigned corner on a busy street. Panhandle well - your retirement may depend on it.

"I say we include everyone in Canada and Mexico! Let's bankrupt the system sooner than later. Once everyone has come to realize there is no way we are going to be able to fulfill the obligations as currently promised let alone adding more people, we can get on with the business of developing a system we can actually pay for!"

The problem with this is that the Dem's will increase the payroll tax as well as eliminating the cap on SS taxes already taken out. SS taxes are going up this year (2007) to over 97K a year. An increase of over $600/yr.
What better way for DEMS to increase taxes... its' for the "children", "elderly" etc. With the help of the MSM and AARP they will win and our SS taxes will increase quite a bit.

Take it a step further, would you need to be Mexican and of retirement age? Why not just get po boxes in Mexico, claim you worked for 18 months and are of retirement age.

You could fund a nice Mexican vacation that way.

1) SOCIAL SECURITY IS A SCAM PERPETRATED ON YOUNG AMERICANS ALREADY.
2) SOCIAL SECURITY IS A PONZI SCHEME.
3) SOCIAL SECURITY IS AN ANTI-CONSERVATIVE SOCIALIST PROGRAM.
4) Conservatives used to believe 1, 2 and 3.
5) The sooner the scam folds, the better for the country.
6) This program is already in place with 20-some odd other countries---and that seems to be ok with everyone /because/ we come out ok in the bargain/trade with Japan or the UK, etc.

Right now, there are (a) illegals who pay into the ponzi via fake SSNs, and there are (b) illegals who get paid in cash and never pay into SS.

The latter (b) CAN NOT claim any freaking money back because they don't have any records showing they-and-their employer paid in! Showing a receipt from a quickie-mart to prove you were here for amnesty DOES NOT cut it as proof for this bene---though Alex Jones and Neal Boortz and Rush will let you believe that to get you foaming.

The former (a) has to prove that they were paying into someone else's account and claim against their earnings. ---If your SS report (that you get EVERY YEAR) shows that the SSA thinks you're making more than you are, then REPORT THE DISCREPANCY FIRST AND GET IT REMOVED SO THE BUGGERS GET CAUGHT!

This is another kneejerker from hell. There are things you should be doing today to fight illegals.

Meanwhile, Neal Booring will make this one agreement out to be part of the NWO CFR NAFTAmero conspiracy, conveniently ignoring that we already do the same for years with other countries.

This is breathtaking. I've been suspect of all those Jerome Corsi articles about a North American Union, but this is a smoking gun that indicates he may be right.

It's bad enough my contributions are entirely earmarked for the Baby Boomers. It's offensive and damn-near tyrannical to take my hard-earned money and give it to illegal aliens ahead of citizens. And I've been very VERY lenient in my views toward illegal aliens. I've always held the position that it's wrong to deport and separate families because one or both of the parents are illegals. But this is a whole different ballgame. This time, it's not the illegal alien gaming the system, it's the government gaming it's own system at our expense. I'm almost too offended to be outraged, only stupefied in silence.

Trust no one in Washington. We truly have no goverment by the people - only judges, elitest pols, and the MSM.

Some will say, "BUT, but, some illegals have paid Social Security that they haven't collected!"

Some, yes.

Then there is this! According to the US Treasury Dept. Illegal aliens are getting as much as 10 BILLION dollars in refunds (earned income credit) in 2004.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0701/04/gb.01.html

BECK: This is insanity. You know, I just saw a number -- and tell me if this number is right, if you even have it -- I just saw a number on, in 2004, what we paid illegal aliens in tax refunds, 2004. Do you know this number?

CAMAROTA: Yes, I believe -- the figure I`ve heard is about $10 billion. That`s based on estimates that the Treasury Department has done itself, $10 billion they paid back to illegal aliens.

BECK: That is insane. We`re paying them $10 billion, and we can`t arrest them, we can`t even find them, we don`t even know -- $10 billion? And now we`re giving them Social Security, one that we don`t need another country to sabotage for us. We`re doing it ourselves. The whole thing is going to collapse.

CAMAROTA: Yes, and what`s worse than that is, that the IRS issues them tax I.D. numbers so that they can then file their income tax with their false Social Security numbers so that we can give them their $10 billion back.

BECK: OK, all right. So the last thing here -- let me just role play here for a second. I`m an illegal alien. I have to now go to the government and prove to the government that I have a fake I.D., that I bought a fake Social Security card on the street in the black market, and then the government rewards me for that, right?

CAMAROTA: Yes, in effect, sure. Once you get legal status, then you apply for the credits that you earned while you were an illegal alien. And the way you do that is like you said: You show your false documents. You bring out your bogus tax returns, and so forth.

_______________

Treasury Department Report. The results of our study are also buttressed by an analysis of illegal alien tax returns done by the Inspector General's Office of the Department of Treasury in 2004.35 That study found that 55 percent of illegal aliens who filed income tax returns using tax identification numbers had no federal income tax liability. While higher than the 45 percent estimated in this study, it must be remembered that this figure was only for those who filed tax returns using a tax identification number. These are all individuals who expected refunds, otherwise they would not have gone to the trouble of getting tax identification numbers and filing a return. But like our estimates, the Inspector General's report indicates that roughly half of illegals have no tax liability, reflecting their very low incomes and large number of dependents.

The number of ITINs issued in the last few years has increased dramatically, climbing from 1.1 million in 2001 to 1.5 million in 2002--a one-year increase of about 36 percent. Normally, ITINs would be used to file a Form 1040NR—U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return. However, many ITINs are used to file Forms 1040, which creates challenges for tax administration. Our analysis of Forms 1040 filed in Tax Year 2001 with ITINs found that approximately 530,000 Forms 1040 were filed with ITINs as the primary number by aliens who resided in the U.S., but who were not authorized to work and, in general, to reside in the U.S.

* These returns reported adjusted gross income of $10.7 billion. After tax deductions and credits, these tax returns reported a total liability of $184 million.
* Over half of the tax returns reported no tax liability, and $522 million in tax refunds were claimed on these returns.

"So it must be somewhat disconcerting for them to find out that about to become law is an agreement signed on June 29, 2004, between the U.S. Commissioner of Social Security and the director general of the Mexican Social Security Institute that allows illegal aliens to collect Social Security benefits if they have as little as 18 months of employment history. U.S. citizens must show 10 years, or 40 quarters of job history, to collect benefits."

I would love to see someone make an attempt to bring this issue as a 14th Amendment violation. I mean really, where is equal protection under the law?

Do you mean by the illegals, who see the giveaway as a clear sign that we have surrendered and who will then try to take the country in toto?

No citizen of this country will revolt. We have our collective thumbs crazy-glued to the remote and only want cheap junk to keep us happy.

So far I've contributed six figures to Social Security.

Unless you are self employed, don't forget to DOUBLE that as the contribution from your employers.......

FReepers, take up arms. I ought to buy one as well. We may will need them.

There now. That's the way it should read, because that's what it's coming down to. Buy guns and stock up on ammo, because the RATS are going to make a play for gun control, and before they do, we all better stock up on guns and ammo. ;o)

I have always said.....take a good man, elect him to office, send him to Washington, and he becomes a politician.

That is why I trust neither Republican or Democrat.

I vote for what is right, not party.

Here is an OpEd from the Washington Times: Read it and weep for your soon to be lost retirement. Mexico will soon be getting the whole enchilada: Amnesty and free SS money from the stupid American Gringos.

Social Security siphon
TODAY'S EDITORIAL
January 5, 2007

On its way to bankruptcy, Social Security will get there a bit sooner if President Bush, Republican senators (and prospective presidential candidates) John McCain, Chuck Hagel and Sam Brownback and the overwhelming majority of Democratic senators get their way.
As Stephen Dinan reported in The Washington Times yesterday, the Bush administration has reached an agreement with Mexico that would permit illegal aliens, after they are granted amnesty in the future, to claim Social Security benefits for the work they performed while in the United States illegally, even if the illegal aliens committed felonies by using fraudulent Social Security documents to obtain their jobs.
Using the Freedom of Information Act, the TREA Senior Citizens League, a Social Security advocacy group, recently obtained a document detailing the U.S.-Mexican deal, which was reached in 2004. The agreement has not yet become law. Nor should it.
After signing the agreement, Mr. Bush must then submit it to Congress, which has 60 days to vote it down. It would automatically become law if Congress does not reject it. Opposing this deal should be an easy decision. But last year the Republican-led Senate narrowly rejected an amendment by Sen. John Ensign that would have prevented this travesty.
During the Senate debate on immigration reform in May, Mr. Ensign proposed that no illegal alien whose status would be adjusted by the Senate bill be permitted to receive Social Security benefits as a result of unlawful activity. "There was a felony they were committing, and now they can't be prosecuted" under the terms of the Senate immigration bill, Mr. Ensign argued at the time. "That sounds like amnesty to me." On top of amnesty for the felony, the bill would also grant them Social Security benefits, as would the deal negotiated by the Bush administration with Mexico.
In addition to Messrs. McCain, Hagel and Brownback, other still-serving Republicans who opposed the Ensign amendment, which lost by a 50-49 vote, included Sens. Lindsey Graham, Richard Lugar, Mel Martinez, Arlen Specter, Ted Stevens and George Voinovich.
Beyond the Senate's reckless decision, which the president, we now know, has supported for years, Social Security passed two other worrisome milestones last year. First, the "assets" in the Orwellian-named Social Security trust funds surpassed the $2 trillion level in 2006. Of course, every dime of those trillions will have to be redeemed from general tax revenues when baby boomers, and, if the president gets his way, former illegal aliens begin depleting the trust funds in about 10 years. Second, when Social Security trustees release their annual report this spring, they almost certainly will report that the present value of Social Security's unfunded liabilities now exceeds $5 trillion. It is simply incomprehensible that the president and so many other Republicans want to add to Social Security's $7 trillion fiscal milestone.

"The very first recipient of Social Security, Ida Mae Fuller of Ludlow, Vermont, contributed a grand total of $22.00 to the system--and received benefits totaling $20,000,00. (She lived to be 99 years old.)"
`Social Insecurity', p. 20, Villard Books, by Dorcas Hardy, former commissioner of SS for three years under Ronald Reagan.

Ida thought it was fair.

Maybe I'm wrong (or wishfully thinking), but I think the 18 months is the minimum for illegals to apply for benefits. Their benefit should still be determined by their total contributions. Benefits for just 18 months of contributions would be pretty insignificant, although when applied to possibly millions of recipients, it could be substantial. Don't misunderstand me. I am against illegal aliens being allowed to collect at all.
