Radical Islam is understandably perceived as the origin of the majority of terrorism today. The average Muslim on the other hand, is perceived as being a group that would never become involved with terrorism. This perception is seriously flawed and fatally dangerous. What is the source that feeds radical Islam? The religious ideation is extrapolated from the Koran itself. Islam's sacred literature is the source, which allows for the terrorist attacks we see today. Islam is thought to be a peaceful religion. Both history and current events prove otherwise.

Islam is very clear about not being friends with Christians even though Allah is the Arabic name for God. However the God of Islam is not the God Christians worship.

Sura "5.51": O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them;

Islam differs sharply with Christianity on cardinal doctrines like the divinity of Christ and the Holy Trinity. The Koran clearly teaches to kill and dismember your enemies and espouses war for the advancement of Islam. Warfare against unbelievers is repeatedly taught in the Koran. Not every Muslim would ascribe to Jihad and secretly plot against the United States. However sources say Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. (5) With a world population of one in five persons being Muslim, and estimates of 15%, which are radical Muslims, and another 15%, which can be swayed to become radical Muslims, the problem should be apparent. With a population of over one billion Muslims the estimates are 150 million radicals currently with an additional 150 million Muslims who can be recruited into the ranks of radical Islam (6)

Ffirst, due to the agenda of islam in the secular fields, it is to be classed not as a religion, but as a subversive cult, completely outside of the 1st amendment. Secondly, or even firstly, this baboonery is to be suppressed as such.

Curious how the rabid Muslim haters rationalize their &quothate all Muslims" dogmas with the fact that the vast bulk of the forces doing the vast majority of the fighting and dying on OUR side in the war ARE Muslims. Guess it never quite occurs to the usual screamers in the Junk Media that people like, the Kurds for example, are Muslims.

I don't recommend that you see the movie "Obsession"if that is truly the case for you...

While Islam is NOT compatible with Christianity I find it ironic that it IS compatible with "The daVinci Code". Of course since they use non-canonical texts as primary sources of their body of teachings from early Jewish and Christian texts it is not that surprising.

Looks like combined there is not a world class military force. They are the last ones to want to get to the nuclear table. Looks from these numbers they believe in making love not war. Did they invent the pill to ruin the West? Demographics is their way to conquer the world.

This is a problem that I've had all along:

While it is true that there are many peaceable Muslims it is not true that Islam itself is peaceable.

The problem is that Islam preconditions Muslims to think about "Muslim Problems" as purely internal issues that outsiders have no part questioning.

So even among the "70%" of non-radical Muslims there will be a huge number of folks who will reflexively offer air and comfort to the radicals because they are Muslims provided their victims are not.

I wonder if any study has been made to suggest how many millions of Muslim enablers there are out there?

Main Stream Musilim uses a clean knife for chopping off heads.

Whose blood is spilled doesn't matter.

The reason why most people dying in the GWOT are Muslim isn't because they are being systematically targeted for elimination by Christians, Jews, Mormons, Buddhist or even Scientologist.

The reason why most people dying in the GWOT are Muslims is because the terrorist––who are Muslim––are targeting them for elimination because of theological, nationalistic or other such issues.

In truth, other Muslims often represent "soft" targets where the risk is relatively low for a given body count ... so it would only be natural that terrorism would become a way to express long standing internal strifes.

Keep in mind, the question asked had to do with *defense* of Islam, not expansion. Still, the question asked about targeting civilians in that "defense".

Another poll (sorry, no link) showed Denmark as the greatest perceived enemy in many Islamic countries.

You seem to have missed the standing up & dying while fighting on our side aspect in the post you were responding to. We have more Muslim allies fighting in the WoT on our side than those of any other religion.

What I find distressing is that some are so quick to focus their hatred on a religion with well over a billion followers.
