Do you listen to him?I try to listen to every minute of him for three hours. If I may be serious for a moment with you, I have sometimes found Rush brilliant. But it occurs way to seldomly. He is most often just an insecure fool who can't keep himself out of the story.
I knew him back in '72 ............ I liked him when he was younger........ but now, he's basically just another arrogant jerk.

lol. You two should take that on the road.

Actually, Rush has always admitted that he often withholds criticism from Republicans because the left wing media already does it. He has stated that he brings balance to the media. Rush has withheld his criticism of many Republicans and specifically President Bush because of the war and because he doesn't like giving the liberal media ammunition and sound bites. However, Rush has made it clear that Bush was no conservative leader and I certainly could tell he was frustrated at times.
Anyway, he's been very upfront about this but it looks like he may begin to be more vocal with his displeasure in the future.
To: TigersEye
I said maybe he could have affected policy. Could is the keyword. The other alterternative proved not to be a great choice either.
To: Carolinamom
LOL! Me also. He once said something almost verbatim from a post I read.

They abandoned him because he did not share the same immigration view as Bush.

You're making an awful lot of excuses for treasonWOW!!!
There you have it folks, Horses's ass here says that voting for the opposing party is TREASON!
Those of us who have served in uniform served to preserve citizens' rights, such as to vote for any part they chose.
You are no friend to a representative republic when you say that voting against your values is treason.
And yes, I will defend your right to say stupid things and the Democrat's right to vote for Democratic candidates.
Some of us don't advocate freedom only when convenient or when it agrees with us.

There you have it folks, Horses's ass here says that voting for the opposing party is TREASON!When the opposing party is giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States, yes, that's treason.

You indicated some expectations of Rush that seem way overblown to me. He doesn't
owe success to anyone other than himself. As a radio talk-show host I think his responsibility for lost elections or failed policies is somewhat less than that of the party itself and the individual candidates and serving congressmen. Since most pubbie pols don't take his advice then it's a little hard to say he was wrong about it.
I'm not sure what the other alternative you speak of is.

Yeah, Rush? Me too. I feel liberated.
You know what? A good swath of the conservative commentariat is dead to me at this point. Including you. No more dittos for you. And yes, I know exactly what I mean by saying that, which is...You suck. Go away.

Wow. I must have hit a few nerves with my comments. Must be some awfully guilty consciences around here or something.
To: thatolkevin
so he's been feeding us a line for a while( no suprise to me)...also was in a Lortab haze for a few years....what's next? mental illness? I can guarantee you that Rush suffers from depression...he is medicated for it you can bet.
