Until recently, Serbia had no reason to worry about the radical Islamists know as the Wahhabis. Following the war in Bosnia, and the “humanitarian intervention” in Serbia’s province of Kosovo & Metohia, things began to change for the worse.
In Kosovo, as in Bosnia before that, the Wahhabis gained a foothold via the so-called charity organizations, through which they financed and otherwise supported various extremist elements in both places. Wahhabism is the dominant form of Islam in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and now even Western Iraq. Although warned of the presence of these militant Islamists from Saudi Arabia, the Western power structures in Bosnia and Kosovo haven’t done much to deal with them. In fact, they haven’t done anything.
The newest issue regarding the Wahhabis doesn’t come from either Kosovo or Bosnia, though. A disturbing news report coming from the town of Novi Pazar in Serbia’s southwestern region of Rashka today has again brought the nation’s attention to the already tense area of the Republic. As B92 reports, two persons suffered minor injuries when some of the local Wahhabis stormed the Arab Mosque around 2:00pm local time and attacked the people attending a service. It is also mentioned in the report that some shots were fired and that the mosque has been closed until further notice. One of the possible reasons is that the Wahhabis didn’t like the way the service was being conducted, or rather, that it wasn’t conducted according to the Wahhabi teachings.
This is their second attack this year. Back in April, they broke up a concert by Balkanika (an ethno/world band) in downtown Novi Pazar. These people obviously have a problem with the way the citizens of Novi Pazar choose to live their lives.

Hey, these guys on Serbian Conservative have link to Free Republic!
from the article:
"The belligerents need to be identified, arrested and tried. Should they turn out to be foreign nationals, they should be banned from entering Serbia for life. And the prosecution should not stop there. This needs to be thoroughly examined. Are there any links with Al-Qaeda, the Kosovo terrorists/government, or some other group? Who is financing these people? What is their structure and how many of them are there? What are the possible future threats by this group? Is the border security tight enough not to allow further influx of these religious fanatics into Serbia?"
Good advice for every country from A to Z. Muslims are even now aggitating for free land to build a mosque in ICELAND!
And one can see that Milosevic out of the picture hasn't solved the problems with Muslims.
More inter-Muslim violence in Serbia
November 5, 2006 -- At least two people have been shot and one held in custody on charges of attempting to commit a murder, after the shooter was attacked by members of the Wahabi sect in a southwestern Serbian town of Novi Pazar.
Izet Fijuljanin, 37, was attacked by three members of a Wahabi Islamic sect, certain Gicic and two members of Smajilovic family who begun pounding with sticks on Fijuljanin's car that was parked in front of the Arab Mosque in the city's center.
Fijuljanin then shot several times in the direction of the attackers. Witnesses say that the attackers were hurt. Fijuljanin is held in custody on attempted murder charges and illegal possession of weapons.
Witnesses say that this incident is a continuation of violence that started on Friday when the group of Wahabi believers entered the Arab Mosque with an intent to force the mosque's imam to hold a Wahabi style ceremony.
When the imam Haris Hadzic refused, the Wahabis attacked him and a massive brawl between the Muslims broke out.
During the fighting, Habib Fijuljan shot several times in the Mosque's ceiling and the believers started stampeding for the exit.
It is not clear whether Fijuljan and the Fijuljanin who was attacked by the Wahabis later are related. The mosque has been closed.
Novi Pazar has the largest Slavic speaking Islamic community which along with Muslim Albanians represent the minority Muslim communities of Serbia.
Serbia is predominantly a Christian country.
Wahhabism = bloodthirsty terrorist who should be shot dead on sight, every last one of them.
I believe that if Islam takes over the world, there will be no world peace. The various strains of Islam will be continuously at war with each other, and against the more moderate sects as well.
