A Republican Majority
The New York Sun ^ | October 25, 2006 | New York Sun Staff Editorial

Two weeks from today, barring recount shenanigans a la Florida 2000, America will know whether the Republicans have retained their majority in the House and Senate. We certainly think they deserve to, even though the Republicans have been far from perfect.

An excellent thoughtful Editorial from an excellent newspaper.

The NY Times gets all the attention, but the NY Sun is an wonderful paper, much more balanced and fair in its coverage.

A Republican Majority

...is but a dream in Maryland. At least in Florida there's some hope. I've gotta move.

I filled my absentee ballot out today, and left instructions for my wife and son to assist them in their ballots.

Other than our governor, which I did not vote for (I left it blank), it was pretty much a straight republican ticket and I was glad to vote for them.

The initiatives in California are also very important and I voted for those that help us, and against those that just put us in more debt.

I didn't vote for Arnold either. I voted libertarian on my absentee ballot. Sure wish McClintock was on the Governor's ticket.

My wife, however, did vote for Arnold.

I came from a Red state, moved here, and yes it sucks, but I keep voting for republicans, and keep shouting my own measley conservative voice, someday the idiots who vote (D) here will wake up (or in your case get jobs and be taxed to death by the State), and start voting for right thinkers. Some democrats aren't so bad either, I'd take Zell Miller any day over Lincoln Chafee, or John McCain, we just have to keep on trying to get better candidates here.

<< I filled my absentee ballot out .... >>

Me too.

Straight "R."

Including for our Governator.

(Not to is an effective vote for whoever the dims're running. Nearly as pointless as voting for the other "Republican" -- the Pismo Beach Steakhouse guy -- would've been last time)

He can win without my vote.

I refuse to vote for a RINO.

The Republican ticket in California is actually pretty good other than the RINO.

Any Republican will get my vote over any candidate with a D next to his name.

The Democrat Party has changed so much, and become the party of cowardice, appeasement, defeatism and negativity. There are so few Dems left who deserve my respect, let alone my vote.

If I lived in Connecticut full time, Joe Lieberman would get my vote. Not that Commie Lamont.
