Will Democrats Turn Out in November?
Honest News ^ | Mike Burleson

Posted on 10/23/2006 2:36:12 PM PDT by charbookguy

Democrats, the Media, and many Republicans are questioning whether Christian Conservatives will turn out in any numbers to effect the upcoming elections. After the Mark Foley scandal beginning earlier this month to increased violence in Iraq, many polls have given the Left a huge win in perhaps both houses of Congress. The real question is if Democrats, after suffering so many setbacks in recent years, will turn out in to support their ailing Party. I began pondering this question as far back as the 2004 Presidential Election, after George Bush trounced Senator John Kerry in an unexpected win. Such was the demoralization of their base; it made national headlines afterwards with Democrats seeking professional counseling to deal with the discouragement. Titles such as these right after the election are revealing: Clinical Depression (Washington Post), Dejection grips city Democrats (Washington Times), and Democrats Confront Identity Crisis (International Herald Tribune). Liberal icon Michael Moore later appeared on the Tonight Show dressed to the nines in suit and tie in a bizarre show of humility, with host Jay Leno making the comparison that he looked like Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert. Today, their lack of message continues, other than the same “We’re not the others guys” which failed them in the last campaign. Add to this the same weak leadership of Pelosi, Kerry, Reid, and Murtha and you see very little in the way of new ideas. In contrast, the outlook for the Right seems as strong as ever. Given liberals lack of leadership on the threat posed by terrorism, conservative governments have risen to power in many countries, including Canada, Germany, and Japan, while maintaining its strength in Australia and America. So, come November don't be surprised if the long-predicted Democrat resurgence turns out to be a washout.

Wise words. Besides, only the most deranged of the Bush haters can stay really angry for that many years.

One possibility is that all the Democrat "we will win" news will suppress the dem's turnout.

That's what I am thinking too. The MSM may inadvertently be working for us!

Many of them (Ford, Casey, etc) are desperate to be seen as conservatives this time out. Even Barack Obama, the emerging Great Black Hope of the elite white male Democratic plantation owners, is busy perfecting the art of conservative camouflage.

They can no longer win as open and unapologetic liberals except in the large blue state cities.

Isn't it interesting that the best description of the "average dem" is fair weather and the best description of the "average republican" is broken glass.

This is a very good question. Remember that the democrats used to hold power with well-disciplined blocks of votes from interest groups like big labor. However, that has broken down to a great extent.

1) Are big unions still being allowed to "cheat" in elections, using their personnel to support democrat political campaigns?

2) Other interest groups like the NRA have been suspiciously quiet this election cycle. Could this harm the republicans?

3) Will outright cheating and malfeasance, like in King County WA, be decisive; and how many races will be contested in the courts?

4) How great is the republican "gerrymander" advantage based on redistricting?

5) Are there to be any more last minute October or November surprises?

Will the rats turn out? Check out the story below for an answer. The party with the best GOTV will win this one. If the rats don't have it, they're toast.

No Democrats won't turn out in November. They don't need to! The MSM said that the election is over so the Dems can go back to sleep and wait for the mailman.

I think the only voters the RATS can rely on is the very old who vote RAT because their parents always did and the left over hippies. Their rallies have been mainly the latter, teenagers or early twenties who have gone just for a lark. Most didn't even know what the rallies were for. I doubt there's many of the teenagers etc., who'll go alone and vote unless they gather in a group and make it another 'lark' occasion.

The democrats don't have to vote. Someone else will cast ballots for them because they would have voted democrat if they would have bothered to vote. The end justifies the means.

This is such a bogus "Get out the Vote" ploy that it's sickening. All the toadies and camp followers chiming in. It's almost a parody of itself.

Wanta make a list of all the suckups working for the Dem machine? Check out the commenters here.

OK guys! Back on your little yellow busses. Time to go home!
