WASHINGTON - The FBI is investigating whether U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon used his influence to secure lobbying and consulting contracts for his daughter, two people familiar with the inquiry said Saturday.

Here we go. I am guessing that this, unlike the Reid story, will be a front page story all week long at all of our favorite newspapers and tv stations.

This is a desperate attempt at trying to create news. The story only says two unnamed persons. Are they FBI agents? Why is the target of this alleged investigation not even aware of it? Why would they want to go to the MSM to announce an investigation? Are they registered or usually vote Democrat? This is nothing more than Democrat moles spreading these rumors or creating allegations that trigger investigations in order to make Republicans look corrupt. I don't believe there is an investigation and I hope Welson sues the hell out of the MSM for libel when all is said and done.
