Rush When Rush gets to the ABOMINATION of the Washington Times editorial about Hastert, I wonder if he will ever get to THIS
****

Newspaper HR Director Faces Internet Sex Charges
WASHINGTON (AP) - The human resources director of The Washington Times has been arrested on charges of soliciting a teenager for sex on the Internet.
D.C. police say 53-year-old Randall Casseday of Dobbs Ferry, New York, was arrested Tuesday night in Northeast Washington. He had allegedly arranged to meet what he believed was a 13-year-old girl he had been corresponding with in an online chat room. The person he was communicating with was a detective with the department's Internet Crimes Against Children branch.
Casseday, who rents a room in the Washington area, was charged with attempted enticement of a minor and was due to appear Thursday in U.S. District Court. Brian Bauman, a spokesman for the Times, says the company is cooperating with authorities and that Casseday has been suspended without pay pending the results of the investigation.

A FReeper wrote earlier: There is another dimension (above) to this editorial to dump Hastert ---- and it has to do with the Times worried about their own image with regard to a recent in-house scandal (above) involving a sexual predator. I have heard from reliable sources at the Times that management is in near panic mode over the in-house scandal and fears that this will be used against them, tainting their image as a "family values" paper. . .etc. They are in the extreme overreacting mode and are not thinking clearly.

Was the Washington Times compromised????

Good afternoon, Johnnie...thanks for the ping. Not surprising that Woodward "makes up" his latest book. He's the only reporter in DC who can read minds...lots of quotes go in with "he thought" when I don't think Woodward can read minds. Here in work, lurk, n'lunch mode...
FNC is reporting an air hijacking in Turkey because of a Papal visit??????

Here is a reply to your Laura post -- I figured you might notice here more easily
What he was talking about was really, really, really distorted as usual by the MSM. In a devastated country after so many years of total destruction (we did this after WWII in Germany, Italy, and Japan) is talking low level (most obvious are those who ran the electric and water plants and low level officials -- because are the ones who have the knowledge and experience) and integrating them into the present system. He was NOT -- (I repeat NOT and I repeat NOT and again I repeat NOT) talking about those who commited terrorist acts. In a country like Afghanistan after so many years of taliban rule if you weren't or didn't at least profess to be ture to the taliban -- you didn't live. EVERYONE still alive in the country who had any type of a job or skill was part of the taliban. NO ONE in the country of working has even the slightest knowledge or skill for anything. This is how a system like that works. The idea is to take those at the lower end of the "party" and put them back in charge of infrastructures and civil affairs until the next generation can be trained and educated. This is what he was talking about!!! Stop reading the MSM propaganda

If he doesn't get to it (http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0906/364718.html ---- Newspaper HR Director Faces Internet Sex Charges) ...... pass it along to him. It probably says a lot about that knee jerk editorial!!!
The Washington Times has curled up into the fetal position............ and perhaps injured the Republicans terribly in November..............
Unless the truth of who SAT on those IM's for so long......... and we all know who THAT was.

I'm very happy Rush is saying not to ask for Hastert resignation. It was ridiculous for WashTimes and others to do that when all the facts are not in.
Besides, Dems are dirty here and I think the story is far from over--they got some skeletons that are going to come out as a result of this. We still do not know who shopped the story, why the media held silent until now, Pelosi knew about it... I say go on offense and kick some Dem butt!
I'd rather have a GOP House that has some problems than a Dem House impeaching Bush, investigating Bush, raising taxes, etc..

Present, but in Work n' Lurk.
One little rant before I go to Silent Running......
When, exactly, is the "contemporary wisdom" going to finally admit that the MSM has completely exhausted any shreds of credibility they thought that they had and they all go back to basics and try to become journalists again.
(I'm bitter 'cause I briefly considered a Journalism major and hate to see something I used to consider a worthwhile profession turned into a bunch of political pimps.)
