'Oldest' New World writing found

This is the OLDEST in the New World. That's its relevance.

It's also older than most other writing methods anyway.

I spent several hours last evening and today trying to figure out what it says.

Quite an interesting read ~ an Evo/Creo thread in fact.

So the "news" here is "somebody was first in the New World to invent writing" and they think this might be it? Big whoop ...

Yeah, big whoop. Next stop the stone at the bottom of the Great Mound at Cahokia. My money is on Chinese characters; others are betting an early Meso-American writing system.

I felt quite confident on winning until this one popped up.
