Forgive me, (I'm under the weather now), but isn't this illegal to make threats on the President? Shouldn't she be locked up?

She is mentally ill and should've been locked up a long time ago.

Apparently, it's only illegal to threaten the life of a 'Rat president. When Clinton held that office, at least one Freeper I know of posted something along the lines of, "he should meet a traitor's fate." Lo and behold, within hours the Secret Service was on his doorstep asking LOTS of questions.

But I see movie "stars," pundits, and so-called peace activists do far, far worse, with (as far as I know) virtually NO repercussions.

I'm not sure saying you've dreamed about something constitutes a threat, but I concerned anyway. There seem to be an increasing number of suggestions that George Bush be killed bubbling up through the media, a British film depicting his assassination, that guest on Chris Mathews' show the other day, and now Mother Sheehan's latest vaporing. This is not good. It's not good at all, and, frankly, it has me worried.

When Clinton was President it was. I think that sho should be.

I suppose with President Bush, anything goes.

In St. Petersburg , Florida a guy wrote in a newspaper that Rumsfield should be killed[there was a thread on FR about it]. He was reported to the Secret Service. I guess they looked at it, laughted about it, and forgot about it because nothing happened to him.

I believe that we have progressed from laws protecting the innocent to laws protecting the guilty.

I do know that there is a different standard, both for protection and prosecution,to Repubilcans and Democrats.

Democrats receive the protection and are immune from prosecution and Republicans are pprosecuted and not protected.

If the President is a Republican, evidently not. The left's fixation about Bush's death is even being made into a movie. Their public vilification and hatred of Bush has become common place.

I keep think that Barbara Bush should at least step up to the mic and give her a good tongue lashing.

It is illegal to threaten to kill the President of the US.

As a famous MLB manager used to say, "Look it up, it's in the record book."

At the very minimum, a statement like hers should be investigated - just as every other threat against the President is.
