NORAD's job has always been to look OUT, not IN. The FAA is a different matter, and INS should get a lot of the blame.

More of the Clinton's Legacy.

Since the Clinton's were co-presidents.

I should have said:

The Legacy of the Clinton's.

Is there anyone except for moonbats who believe that, prior to 8:48 AM on 9/11/01, that they would have accepted a policy of NORAD fighters on constant CAP over CONUS, ready to shoot down passenger jets flying off of an assigned airway?

President Bush "should fire whoever at FAA, at NORAD ... betrayed their public trust by not telling us the truth."

Yes he should but he won't

If you read some of the pre-911-01 Congressional Intel Committee reports (they are online on the governmental websites), 9-11 attacks shouldn't have been that great a surprise to our 'illustrious' elected.

Reports of al-Qaeda, bin Laden, and similar terror groups were discussed in those even in the mid-1990s. [Of course, you have those like presidential candidate John Kerry, who actually co-chaired an Intel committee -- but admitted he never attended any meetings.]

After the 911 attacks our 'elected' played dumb to save their own political hides, and our appointed/Civil Service governental officials played dumb to save their appointements/Civil Service positions.

Cover-up is the second biggest ongoing event in government; the first being porkbarrell graft and corruption. They get elected to service the people, but they quickly change to serving themselves. How many 'elected' ever went to Washington 'of modest means' and retired with untold wealth -- on Congressional pay?

I would assume that all those problems caused by the clintonista regime that caused Osama to declare war against the USA in 1996 and installed all the communist and other America-haters into the CIA and FBI and especially Dept of State ARE being fixed.

Yep Mr Compassionate Nice Guy Conservative should have purged every damn one of the Clinton types that were not protected by Civil Service

But somebody that thinks feeding Teddy Kennedy popcorn will change him doesn't act that way

Sigh -- we need a hard assed ruthless leader but we don't have one

A bit ironic but in todays Washington Post

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/01/AR2006090101498.html

Zinser's report blames the erroneous statements on a series of innocent mistakes, including an erroneous entry in an early FAA timeline and an assumption by some officials that others would correct the record once the errors became clear.

I joined the Young Republicans back in 1970

I got to see politicians and their "hanger ons" up close

What a revelation

All they care about is being elected and stayin power

And that was the GOP who I thought would be different than the left wing democrats

The Legacy of the Clinton's.

Exact proof of why we should never, ever elect dynasties -- from either party.

We need fresh, new leadership who are not trying to get to the WH for covert reasons -- such as covering up for their previous family member.

If Hillary did get elected, she would spend her first term rewriting the history of her husband. And anyone with functioning braincells realizes some of GW's actions have been to 'correct the history/right some of the wrongs' of his father.

That is why we should NEVER elect any more dynastic families to the White House. Not Jeb. Not Hillary. Not a Carter. Not a Reagan.

We need new blood in the presidency to help clean up the wrongs of the previous administration(s), not cover them up.

"For almost three years now, NORAD officials and FAA officials have been able to hide their critical failures that left this country defenseless during two of the worst hours in our history," Dayton declared

Who lied about this?

This Dayton clown. Ran away from D.C. early last year because he was afraid there might be a terror attack.

Proving that being rich, very rich, and buying a seat in our government doesn't mean you have a brain in your head.

Go to this thread. The article you are reading is from two years ago. The Washington Post did a story on it this morning, but this is their explaination.

Zinser's report blames the erroneous statements on a series of innocent mistakes, including an erroneous entry in an early FAA timeline and an assumption by some officials that others would correct the record once the errors became clear.

That is why we should NEVER elect any more dynastic families to the White House.

Not Jeb. Not Hillary. Not a Carter. Not a Reagan

Nor Robert Kennedy nor Teddy.

The Founding Fathers did not want a nobility or titles.

The Founding Fathers wrote a constitution to protect us from government, pure and simple.

Your statements about government hit the nail on the head.
