In fact, Atta was a heavy drinker, snorted coke, was a stylish dresser and wore enough expensive gold jewelry that a waitress in Venice thought he might be in the Mob. The beautiful thing about being a jihadist. You can sin all you want, but if you die in martyrdom you get your 72 virgins and all is forgiven. The route to heaven is a lot more difficult for those unwilling to go the martyr route.
The other explanation could be that his lifestyle was a cover to drive the intelligence community off track as to his religious orientation. We may never know which it was. Maybe it was both.
Funny how the leftist press is more concerned about a few kittens' body parts strewn about a girlfriend's apartment than the thousands of human body parts strewn about NY and DC. That just figures.
