After listening extensively to the Sep 11th tapes, I'm annoyed, frustrated, and bitter. Listening to those tapes made me more proud than ever to be in the military.
Those people in the towers pleaded for their lives while they choked on smoke and were burnt alive. The operators of the 911 systems in NY were powerless to do anything. Those innocent civilians, some 3000 of them, were literally tortured as they awaited their fate. As the oxygen was taken from their lungs, their deaths were prolonged. In agony, they called for someone, anyone, to help them. Sure, there were some Muslim nations that stood by us and criticized the attacks, but they were few and far between. Thousands of people were tortured that day.
The audio is heavily edited, the victims' voices are not heard. Why can't the world hear the distress in the voices of INNOCENT CIVILIANS that were killed by Islamic extremists bent on destroying every non-Muslim on the earth?!
Fast forward a couple of years and the Abu Ghraib "scandal" hits the airwaves. EVERY picture they could drudge up was plastered all over the place. We still hear about the "suffering" of those poor criminals and terrorists at the hands of a few rogue idiots. Yet, no one censored their "horror". A Marine shoots a man in a mosque he perceived as a threat. The video is shown over and over. The Marine is made out to be monster for killing the poor, innocent, hatemonger who would've stabbed that Marine in the back if could have. It's sickening. It makes me sick.
We are at war!! On September 20, 2001, President Bush said "Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.

There were plenty of Musiims who celebrated in the streets, inc. some in our own nation.
Not sure where in anything I posted the term "all Muslims are the enemy" was written. As a matter of fact, it wasn't. I have Muslim friends, but that doesn't change the fact that it isn't Christian, Buddhists, Hindis, or other religions plotting to blow up planes, kidnap and behead innocent civilians, and calling for the total annihilation of Israel and the US.
If it's indeed true that the majority of Muslims are against the hijacking of their religion, and they feel strongly about it, where are the voices? Where are the imams denouncing the violence? Where are you?
So, Jimmah Carter's judge in Detroit has just told us that we can't listen in on terrorist phone conversations. At a time when strange little middle eastern types are driving around buying thousands of cell phones for vaguely explained reasons.
Nothing to worry about folks. Move along . . .
