The foiled terrorist plot to explode airliners over the Atlantic reminds voters that the horrors of warfare they see unfolding on their television screens in Iraq and Lebanon could yet come home to America. There is no doubting the seriousness of the threat the British security forces uncovered, yet there is something disquieting about the way Republicans jumped on the story to reinforce their message coming out of the Connecticut primary that anti-war Democrats can’t be trusted with national security.

Eleanor makes fun of Republicans for still using McGovern as their boogy bear, but no mention how Democrats still use Nixon/Watergate as theirs.
Eleanor predicts Chris Shays will likely lose in November, and writes Rahm Emanuel calls Lieberman "Bush's love child". Eleanor doesn't seem to get the fact most voters will be offended, not by Republicans using terror, but by disloyal Democrats eating their own in order to appease their far left fringe.
What cracks me up is that Eleanor can't understand people "get it". It's not a mental stretch: Democrats who are willing to appease each other out of cowardice, will appease our enemies too.

This editorial is so tired. I could have written it in my sleep.
Sleep writing a good talent to have, but Eleanor can't be labeled a legitimate, independent editorialist. She' a mouthpiece, a partisan, a shill, in fact, a shrill shill. But she doesn't write editorials. She writes screeds based on the talking point faxes she receives from her liberal soul mates in various DC liberal think tanks, and the Hillary wing of the DNC.

From the very first sentence, Eleanor gets it wrong. The plot to blow up the airliners was more despicable than most MSM outlets have shared. Those airliners weren't going to be blown up over the ocean. No, the SOBs who developed this perverted, obscene, barbaric plan intended to wait until the airliners were on approach into their destination before blowing them up; showering people on the ground with airplane and body parts.
It is extremely ironic that, about two years ago or so, there was a report by an American reporter who made a cross-country flight. The reporter documented the suspicious actions of 11 Middle Eastern men who all pretended not to know one another. However, as the flight progressed, each of these men would get up and go to the restroom on the aircraft. As one came out, he might make a small gesture or look at one of the others. Finally, after a nerve-wracking 4.5 hour flight, they landed at their destination in CA. The 11 men were eventually corraled and questioned by government officials (don't recall if it was FBI, TSA, ICE or whom). The men first refused to acknowledge that they knew one another - then claimed that they were members of a Pakistani musical band.
If we fast forward to today, I believe that these men were testing out the feasibility of the very plan the British terrorists were planning. As long as we refuse to profile and pretend that Middle Eastern men are all innocent, we are providing then all of the opportunities they need to carry out the next attack on us through our naivete and gullibility. When are we going to wake up and realize that grannies and 4 year-old girls are NOT the people trying to kill us??

It was better when there were rape rooms, public beheadings, mass graves, sponsorship of terrorism, training camps for al Qaeda, assembling and hiding WMD? Better when we sucked up to the same islampignazis that want our conversion or our deaths, not our understanding? Better when Bubba bit his lip and tried to feel our pain when barracks were blown up, dead soldiers dragged through Mogadishu, naval vessels attacked -- and no rsponse? Better when that sociopath communist serial rapist Bill Clinton refused the extradition of Bin Laden?
Yeah, Eleanor, it could be much worse.
So while the responsible adults are waging war to protect even your right to say stupid things, your right to work, drive a car, and walk around without escort or veiled, why don't you do us all a favor and go back to doing what you do best: whoring for the democrats and the islamopignazis.
