Special Report: The Qana Incident
Hezbollah Scores Major Victory Against Israel
Terror - Islam
Sunday, July 30, 2006
- Omega Letter Editor
Americans awoke Sunday to images of angry Muslims storming the United Nations compound in Beirut in response to a devastating Israeli attack against the Lebanese village of Qana.
The carnage was horrible; at least sixty people died in the attack, forty of them children.
Global response was immediate, emphatic, and predictable. Demands for an 'immediate, unconditional ceasefire' reverberated from the hallowed halls of European government to the United Nations and beyond.
Condi Rice cancelled her scheduled visit to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Senioria in Lebanon by 'mutual agreement' -- a diplomatic way of saving face for the US.
But on further examination, the carnage reveals a cold, calculating and ruthless strategy on behalf of Hezbollah. There was not a single male of fighting age among the victims. Where were all the males?
And, suppose that Israel had not dropped warning leaflets all over Qana. Let's just suppose that nobody evacuated the city.
What are the odds in such a situation that EIGHTY PERCENT of the casualties would be children? Or that the remaining twenty percent would be exclusively women and old men?
Adding things up, does anybody else get the same sum that I do? I almost hope I am wrong, but it doesn't seem likely.
What seems likely is that the women and children were herded into those shelters in an effort to sway public opinion over to their side.
In other words, they were deliberately put into harm's way. The horrifying casualties were part of a deliberate Hezbollah plan.
It is hard to imagine Hezbollah fighters putting their parents and children in Israel's gunsights in order to gain a propaganda victory, which is one reason why it is working out so well for them.
Israel has video of the very buildings in Qana struck by the missiles. It plainly shows rockets being launched from those buildings.
Hezbollah has launched thousands of rockets into Israel. It knows from experience that Israel is capable of detecting every launch, and it also knows that every launch predicates an Israeli counterstrike.
Hezbollah knew that launching those rockets from Qana would result in Israeli destruction of the buildings from which they were launched.
How could they not? I am six thousand miles away, and I knew it. Didn't you? Every single rocket launch so far has resulted in an Israeli counterstrike. There is no reason why Qana should be any different. And that is without even considering the Israeli warning leaflets that were dropped prior to the attack warning civilians to flee.
But instead, the Qana casualties were all in the basement of the very building Hezbollah used as a launch point.
It is the only explanation that makes any logical sense. They put their own children there in the express hope that Israel would then kill them. In Allah's name.
It is unthinkable. And it is working. Just read the headlines.

Unfrotuantely for the Hezzies, it ain't gonna stop Israel.
Pardon my Anglo-Saxon, but methinks he means .. "I'm an @$$hole and I can prove it .. "
Zarf .. you've been here long enough .. apologize and it all goes away.
Most of the civilians who have been killed were either terrorist sympathizers or future terrorists. Let God sort 'em out.
There you go again...
I agree completely. A cease fire would immediately be celebrated by Hezbollah as a 'victory'. And to the extent that they would continue to exist, it would be.
We all owe Thanks to Israel for crushing these cockroaches (I know, thats an insult to roaches).
Bingo. These 'civilians' are willing participants ready to die for their cause.
The US military has cooks, mechanics, supply people, etc... For Hezbollah, the local civilian population performs these support tasks. If pushed, they would happily pick up an AK and open fire on Israeli's.
As I said on another thread, he main effect of the Qana bombing was the suspension of plans for a 72-hour ceasefire. This extends Israel's window for victory.
At this point, is anyone completely sure whose children were in that building? It would take the lowest possible subhuman to put someone else's children to death for propaganda purposes, but the sub human who would put his own children to death for that reason would be off the charts. They could not even be classified as subhuman, they would be nonhuman.
It's by no means clear that Israeli forces actually did kill them. It seems that the Israeli attack that dropped bombs near this building occurred at about 2AM, and the explosion that brought the building down was about 7AM.
If it wasn't an Israeli bomb, what was it? Could it have been a Hizbollah controlled demolition?
I for one would not put it past them to do just that.
Moreover, if there was, as it seems a six hour period between the Israeli acctack and the collapse of the building, why were there still people inside? Were they kept there?
When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons.

Hey, Mohammed, if you don't want your kids killed, stop hiding behind them!
150 rockets hit Israel sunday and Israel says it will continue 2 more weeks at least sooo....what happens then? I'm telling you unless Syrian and Iranian regimes are taken out it will all have been a waste of time.

thanks..already addressed this here http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1674690/posts?page=30#30
this is an example of why you need to hunt them down and carve their black hearts out of their chest. Anything less will not succede.one side wins and the other loses.which side you want to be on?
