Why do we care so much?

What empire?
Where is it? Who are the governors of the provinces? What are their geographic boundaries?

"We" (You and me and the majority here) don't care what the world thinks. Most nations are jealous of what they are not, Napoleon complex if you ask me. How does that saying go, I would rather be disliked and respected/feared than liked and not feared.
A liberal's first thought on anything is "What will the world think?"
A conservative thinks "Screw world opinion. Git er done"
We have an Empire? Why am I always the last person to receive the memo? Also, may I be the Imperial Governor of Scotland? I need to ensure the quality of distilled beverages from my ancestral land.

If you are here, as a American, you or your forbears sometime rejected the rest of the world. No one likes to be rejected. It is inevitable and utterly logical that the rest of the world, somehow chooses to look down on us. Given the dynamics, anything else would be abnormal.
What does America think of the World?
For the most part a collection of feminized pansies who aren't willing to defend themselves from murderous thugs and butchers. Disgusting whores who will sell themselves and their children into slavery for a little temporary peace.
