CBC News special
How do the world's nations relate to the new American Empire?
What the World Thinks of America is an in-depth look at today's central issue in international affairs.
Ten broadcast networks from around the world have contributed in an international first: journalists from each nation have collaborated to bring you essays and discussion about their country's 21st century relationship with the United States. All ten perspectives will be represented in this unprecedented broadcast and Web site.
From politics, military, economics and culture to the challenges, constraints and conditions on America's global command, this cross-cultural, multi-faceted news event asked experts, analysts and ordinary people from all over the globe to tell us What the World Thinks of America.

I came across this when looking for additional views on Hezbollah... The CBC is doing a documentary on what the World Thinks of the "New American" Empire. I would love to see this and see the bias at work. I can only assume that it will be or is a very negative report.

The CBC is brain dead.
What empire?
Where is it? Who are the governors of the provinces? What are their geographic boundaries?
These people are beyond stupid.

Why do we care so much?
-----
Irish
"We" (You and me and the majority here) don't care what the world thinks. Most nations are jealous of what they are not, Napoleon complex if you ask me. How does that saying go, I would rather be disliked and respected/feared than liked and not feared.

If you are here, as a American, you or your forbears sometime rejected the rest of the world. No one likes to be rejected. It is inevitable and utterly logical that the rest of the world, somehow chooses to look down on us. Given the dynamics, anything else would be abnormal.

What does America think of the World?
For the most part a collection of feminized pansies who aren't willing to defend themselves from murderous thugs and butchers. Disgusting whores who will sell themselves and their children into slavery for a little temporary peace.

Who cares what the world thinks. We're saving their arsses and they don't even know it. Well, the World was..is against Jesus and we're a very Christian Nation...and as the scriptures say:
Luk 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
Joh 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

I love to read letters to the editor in foreign newspapers. Rarely are there any letters about the U.S. Most people here and around the world are concerned with local things. They care about crime, health care, quality of education, local politics, taxes, religion, etc. Usually the same things that we are concerned about in our daily lives. The only obsession that I have noticed seems to be on the part of journalists. They are devoid any creativity. They seem to be unable to write opinions about anything that doesn't include the U.S. They're pathetic, small minded little creatures with a total fixation on U.S.

From the CBC,
"In other words, the war against Iraq deepened the perception of the United States as an empire that simply dictates its overwhelming economic and strategic interests, defying any diplomatic considerations, even if it means running over the UN, as it did."
