They've been after this guy for years. ABC got tossed out on their ear from Russia after interviewing this terrorist leader.
Good for Russia!

Normally, I don't like, and certainly don't trust, the Russian, but after watching a documentary on what happened at Beslan, I feel anything they do would be justified. The one thing I agree with them is that terrorists, contrary to the rant of John Paul Stevens, should not be accorded the rights of the Geneva Conventions. Consequently, they are much more efficient in dealing with them than we are.
If we could only convince them to see the bigger picture that we are all in a war of survival with the islamofascists, we could get a lot more more cooperation.

I recently saw the video of the Beslan school raid.
Those children who survived will never be the same. They not only stoled the lives of the children they murdered but stoled the childhood of the survivors.

This might shut up those who say Russia hasn't responded to Beslan.
I would encourage everyone to read "Terror at Beslan," by American ex-Special Forces officer John Gudick. Gudick arrived on the scene just as the Russians were mopping up, and his analysis of what transpired is outstanding.

Putin has confirmed.
Chechen warlord's killing 'a just punishment': Putin
MOSCOW, July 10, 2006 (AFP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called the killing of Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev reported Monday "a just punishment" for past attacks in Russia, Russian news agencies said.
"This is a just punishment of the bandits for our children in Beslan, in Budyonnovsk, for all the terrorist attacks that they carried out in Moscow and in other regions of Russia," Putin was quoted as saying by Interfax.
