(AXcess News) New York - When Democrat Sen. Hillary Clinton was booed by her party's base at the "Take Back America" conference, it was the result of her saying the US must finish the job in Iraq and not announce a withdrawal date.
However, Clinton voted "Yes" to a resolution demanding that troops begin withdrawal of US troops this year and that the Commander-in-Chief should submit a plan for total withdrawal -or a "redeployment," as several Democrats call leaving Iraq.
Clinton also opposed any criminal investigation of the New York Times and defended their right to print the story regarding the top secret money transfer operation targeting Al-Qaeda.
Clinton, speaking to a Buffalo TV station on Wednesday, even questioned the legality of the administration's practices and called for a congressional review of what she called bank trawling. It's been widely accepted that the international banking surveillance operation is legal and, in fact, the New York Times in an earlier editorial said such a program was necessary to fight terrorism.
In addition, when voting on a constitutional amendment that would protect the American flag from desecration such as burning, among possible presidential contenders in 2008, six voted yes: Democrat Evan Bayh of Indiana and Republicans George Allen of Virginia, Sam Brownback of Kansas, Frist, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, and John McCain of Arizona.
Five, all Democrats, voted no: Joseph Biden of Delaware, Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, Russell Feingold of Wisconsin and John Kerry of Massachusetts.
One political analyst said he wasn't surprised that Sen. Clinton is flip-flopping on issues.
"Hillary [Clinton] talks right, but votes left. She's trying to fool voters into believing she's a moderate while her voting record shows she's with Kerry, Kennedy, Feingold and others on the left," said Mike Baker, a political strategist.

Why not be a switch-hitter? She knows perfectly well the MSM won't hold her to account. And they know perfectly well all her 'conservative' positions are phony. In the meantime she might sway a few undecideds into voting her way. It's a win-win for her.

No surprise there. She's a leftist masquerading for the electorate. Demonrats have no soul. Hopefully they can all be forced to live amongst themselves in the next life as payment for what they are doing on this earth.

Unlike John Kerry, Hillary is allowed to change her mind on issues... she is, after all... a girl!

Why not be a switch-hitter?Hillary swings both ways?
To: bitt
I had heard that Sen. Clinton swings both ways.
I just find it a frightening picture that anyone else would swing WITH her.

When I saw "CLINTON" and "SWINGS RIGHT AND LEFT" in the same sentance, I immediately thought of this!

She is obviously all over the map on various issues so she can say she is middle of the road. She will be on the right and then on the left on the same issue. That way she can pick and choose what speech to site on any given issue. We all know she is a leftest through and through.
To: bitt
It's called "triangulation", and the aim is to be on the side of the 50%+ on every possible issue.
