Shows his poll and says "54% a solid majority, now say it was an mistake to go to war in Iraq",

And something like 80% or so want something done about the Border. Love the way the Dems never pay any attention when the polls DON'T validate their feelings

It's hard for me to understand how distinguished people with such promise can go so wrong. In the case of Murtha it's especially puzzling.

I only learned about Murtha recently and can't judge how he "went wrong."  The only positive I have heard about him is that he is an ex-Marine with some decorations.  Given what we know about Kerry the medals don't automatically translate into an earned honor, so I reserve judgement on that till I learn more.  As to his being a Marine, well... Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marine.  Usually they're able to weed out the bad ones, but it's not automatic.  It's also no proof that they'll stay away from the dark side.  Remember Charles Whitman?

The one constant is that once they enter the political arena, all integrity and credibility are up for grabs.

The clearest example of this that I can think of is John Glenn.  He sold out the country to protect Clinton in exchange for one last trip into space.  Truly sad.

The thought just occurred to me that Tim might be busting his britches by playing KingMaker, realizing the the Dems success won't happen under Pelosi. FWIW.

Elsewhere, just reading on the Corner that THE Ayyatollah Khomeini's son has asked for US overthrow of Iran's mullahs. WOW !

That's a big and dangerous step for the 47 year old son to take, but could it be another step on further ME realignment, as significant as Libya. Iranians are demanding more, and hopefully this will fuel the fire.

But what does the "R" after his [Lindsey Graham] name mean?

Rudderless?

Actually, one of the vendors said he looked like Santa Claus. And Santa has very special powers with the ladies. I mean think about it. He always comes bearing gifts, and he can keep it going all night long!

Not hot as much as mad over the utter lack of news fairness and press unwillingness to critically evaluate the Democrats recipe for disaster they are calling A New Direction.

My thoughts absolutely!

He was the one I was thinking about when I made my post.

#347, he was saved by a Democrat Colleague who is now retired and is mad at Murtha for telling lies to get out of being punished. there are a lot of stories about this, and I believe that the websites that Aliveritas posted will give you most of the info. That ex congressman was defeated by Murtha when they redistricted Pa because of loss of Voters, and they both had to run for the same 12th CD.

And finally, why didn't Wallace ask Snow why Bush has my fellow Marines incarcerated WITHOUT BEING CHARGED at the Camp Pendleton Brig

Your rabid knee jerk hate for the President really is getting old K. The President cannot interfere while the investigation is on going. You know this. It would be Command Interference. Get a grip

What a monumental fool, Murtha expects to build our nations security on the weaknesses of defeatism.

Yes, this is exactly what Murtha, and the Democrat party, want to do. They are reliving Vietnam in their minds, thinking this is the road to regaining their lost power in congress and support from the public.

This is a great post! I did not know about Oswald, either. What a great comeback line for countering the left claims of how heroic Murtha is just because he served.

Every time Murtha says......the military can't win....he enrages another military family.

Just heard a soundbite from Murtha. Said President Bush should learn like Reagan did in Lebanon and Clinton did in Somalia.

Which is an amazingly stupid thing to say. Bin Laden in his 1998 Fatwa specifically cites Somalia as one of the reasons why he decided to attack the USA. I sure hope Irey (Murtha's challenger) is rolling tape on this fool. Great last weekend before election day commercial possiblities here.
