Education: In our brave new schools, Johnny can't say the pledge, but he can recite the Quran. Yup, the same court that found the phrase "under God" unconstitutional now endorses Islamic catechism in public school.

In a recent federal decision that got surprisingly little press, even from conservative talk radio, California's 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled it's OK to put public-school kids through Muslim role-playing exercises, including:

Reciting aloud Muslim prayers that begin with "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful . . . ."

Memorizing the Muslim profession of faith: "Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger."

Chanting "Praise be to Allah" in response to teacher prompts.

This case is critical not just to our culture but our national security. It should be brought before the Supreme Court, which has outlawed prayer in school. Let's see what it says about practicing Islam in class. It will be a good test for the bench's two new conservative justices.

Supposedly, once you recite the original invocation of the la illa......an nabi (there is no god but, and Mohammad), you become a Muslim, which, should you renounce it, makes you eligible for death as an apostate. It could thus be argued that not only are schools not separating church and State, but that they are also putting children's lives at stake, however inadvertently.

Teaching Johnny About Islam

Everything I needed to know about Islam, I learned on 9/11. Just show the photos of planes flying into buildings, people falling to their deaths, men having their heads sawed off,... that should about cover it.

No, no, that's not right. That should read:

"In the name of Allah, the Inexorable, the Irresistible...."

It's amazing that separation of church and state doesn't apply to Islam.

This is why we desperately need vouchers ... to spare our kids from publik skools.

IF I had a kid and a teacher made them say that f'ing crap, that teacher would need a dentist later the same day.

What's wrong with this picture?! They are selling out FREEDOM for a buck, divide the classes, easiest way is to make us all Muslim, hide the women in vails, kill the infidels and in 1-2-3 you have MORE power that way than the curent way. Be affraid? Yes, both so called parties (D and R) in America are not our friends... wise up America.... or our kids will be doomed to vails and goat humping.

Makes as much sense as everything else about Islam--which is none at all.

I'd say 5-10years and sadly if people don't wake up ans smell the BS the people on the side of right will loose this one, but we'll put up one hell of a good fight goin down.
